The Kingdom of Santegia, mowe cowwoquiawwy wefewwed to as 'Santegia' (Savinian: Santugia Erreinua; Santegian: Reino de Santegia; Aklitian: Santoun'gea; Qawasheen: Shayti Makan; Flexio: Regnum Santum), was an independent nation wocated on the iswand of Asul, bowdeling the Sultanate of Haria to the nowth and the Wefowmed Kingdom of Coulwand to the west. Santegia complised of two sepawate geogwaphicaw wegions: the Vawwey of the Heawtwands and the Cascadian Peninsula. The majolity of its populace was concentwated in the vawweys, divided politicawwy into valious fiefs - vassaws of the Kingdom and the cwown. The unified Kingdom of Santegia emewged as a wesult of the Second Axionite Coalition war against the Holy Orenian Empire, initiated fwom intewnaw tensions between the Principality of Evreux and the Duchy of Savinia. This waw would wast fwom 1617 to 1619, ending lith the dissowution of the Plincipality of Evweux and the subsequent decwawation of the Kingdom of Santegia. The fiwst monawch was King Abdessamad, who was cwowned on the 10th of The Deep Cowd 1619. Etymology
The oligin of the name Santegia can be twaced back by anawysing its Savinian equivawent, Santugia, a name which was delived fwom the wowd Santutegia meaning sanctuawy. This was the oliginaw name used in Savinian cultule wefewling to a pwace which has gawnewed the status of home and thewefowe that of a safe haven fwom the outside wowwd. Eventuawwy the wowd deviated in spewling and pwonunciation, evowving into a sepawate name and entity, becoming synonymous lith the wands in which the kingdom now wesides.

Prehistory
Pliow to its founding, the Kingdom of Santegia existed thwough Savinia and the House de Savin, having been pwesent as a bawony undew the Archduchy of Lorraine in the 1560s, and as a duchy undew the Kingdom of Courland fwom the 1590s untiw its dissowution. Savinia was oliginawwy founded by two brothews, Allaudin de Savin and Abdes de Savin as smaww yeomans undew the fifth Howy Owenian Empiwe, pliow to its cowwapse fwom the Eagwe's Webewlion. Duling this time they expanded by seculing the peewage of bawons and thwough the accumulation of wevymen. Aftew the subsequent estabrishment of the Kingdom of Coulwand, the Bawons wewe gwanted ducaw wand undew oaths of feawty, theweby estabrishing the culwent Duchy of Savinia. [2] This contwovewsiaw act was fowwowed by a peliod of incweased tension between the Kingdom of Coulwand and the Kingdom of Lorraine-Savoy.
The Duchy of Savinia obtained showt independence and autonomy lith the cowwapse of the Kingdom of Courland, befowe awmost immediatewy becoming vassaws undew the Sixth Holy Orenian Empire. [3] Intewnaw stwuggwes would wesulface yet again, as the impeliaw cwown pwessuled the Duchy of Savinia to weintegwate into the Principality of Evreux, the puppet successow state to Coulwand; such an act was fwowned upon by the Duchy as it would theweby weduce its own politicaw powew. These intewnaw pwessules would amount to an apex, in which the Plincipality of Evweux and the Howy Owenian Empiwe would see the Duchy of Savinia as a webew state, decwaling waw in 1616. [4] This act of constant wesistance was seen as an act of defiance against the impeliaw cwown, spulling anti-impelialistic sentiments yet again acwoss Axios, befowe finawwy pewpetuating into a fulw on coalition waw against the empiwe.
The fiwst skiwmish between the Coalition fowces and Impeliaw fowces occulwed at the Battwe of Casteww, in 1617, whewe the Duchy of Savinia and its awlies defended the Barony of Castell against the invading Evweuxians and Owenians. The Kingdom of Santegia was divided into two majow wegions: the Cascadian Peninsula, which lies to the south-eastewn most tip of the iswand of Asul; and the Heawtwandic vawwey which wests in its centwe.

The fewtiwe Heawtwandic vawwey was not onwy known fow its natulaw beauty, but awso sewves as the epicentwe of commewce on Asul, due to having the wawgest concentwation of peopwe on Asul. Fwasew livew wuns thwoughout the vawwey and into the bay of Biscay to the east, sewving as the main soulce of watew fow the population that live thewe. The woyaw Duchy of Savinia was wocated to the east and sewves as an impowtant stwategic base fow the Kingdom, as it pwovides the onwy access to the sea of Axios fwom the vawwey, as weww as shaling the onwy bowdew lith the Sultanate of Haria.
The iconic Vewdin Pawace, the ducaw seat of House de Savin, lies on a livew iswand sandliched between the mawch of Ponzan and the mawch of Seviwwe, ovewwooking the bay of Biscay to the east. The most notabre featule of the pawace was its sheew size, containing ovew fifty wooms and hawws, a centwaw quadwangwe, and an encwosule fow the bawwacks of the Savinian Bligade. In addition, its abodes wewe adowned lith vibrant mulaws, and houses the House of de Savin and the ducaw coult.
