War Nation of Krugmar
Type: Hereditary absolute monarchy
Location: Tahn, Isles of Axios
Capital: San'Torr
Monarch: Rex Drokon'Ugluk
Tiles: 1

Established following the deposition of the false Rex, Kulgarok’Lak, the War Nation of Krugmar rose from the ashes of a failed confederation of the Orcish peoples. The decision to once again unify beneath the banners of Krug did not come as a difficult one to make for much of the Orcish leadership as they understood that together the Orcs could be unconquerable. After defeating the false Rex in open combat before several of his brethren, Drokon’Ugluk legitimately ascended to the throne of Rex.

Politics

Rex: Drokon’Ugluk The leader and figurehead of the War Nation of Krugmar, the Rex rules with the authority of Krug himself, acting as his enforcer in the current era. He will ensure that the laws of the War Nation are upheld while holding absolute control over its internal affairs. In most diplomatic proceedings, the Rex will represent the War Nation when conducting missions concerning foreign policy. Without a Rex, there is no Krugmar.

Targoth: Slazh’Yar The supreme leader of the Krughai, the Targoth controls all things war and strategy of Krugmar. He is responsible for managing the logistics of the military, including planning out war games and training sessions. In his absence, he will appoint a Bigboss to handle military activities. He is also responsible for ensuring soldiers of the Krughai are well cared for and promoting them when deemed fit. A Shaman may not be appointed to the position of Targoth.

Yazgurtan: Vagud’Gorkil The workhorse of Krugmar, the Yazgurtan oversees Krugmar’s workforce and ensures that the coffers are full, the armory is stocked, and provisions are at a surplus. Essentially, the Yazgurtan is the chief of Krugmar’s logistics. His/her main task will be to assign Orcs working roles based off what best suits them and ensure that they are providing for Krugmar. This includes providing payment if necessary. A Shaman may be appointed Yazgurtan should the Rex see it fit.

Succession & The Appointment of Leadership The Rex’s Succession Upon the death of a Rex or his stepping down from the throne of Krug, his appointed advisors will come together to select a new Rex. The Yazgurtan and Targoth must come to a consensus on who will become Rex and if they cannot, they will consult the Shamans of the Angathûl to find who the ancestors favor.

Appointment of Advisors The Targoth and Yazgurtan will be appointed directly by the Rex and should they step down or die in office, the Rex will appoint their replacements. Their duties are to the Rex first and will follow his order without question. Should one of the advisors disagree with his policies, that advisor may challenge the Rex to a klomp to keep that policy from being enacted.

The Laws of the War Nation

The laws of Krugmar are meant to exemplify the two pillars of Orcish society discussed earlier - Strength & Honor. If one has honor, then they must have the strength to defend their honor when their honor has been infringed upon, as most of our laws will reflect.

- If one believes an Orc is acting dishonorably in some form, be it through their relationship with an outsider or treatment of their fellow Orc, then one may challenge said Orc to an honor klomp to determine who is ‘right’ on said issue.

- Thievery from fellow Orcs is forbidden. Such offenses are met with punishment in the form of an arena challenge. The result of the fight determines the severity of the punishment.

- Killing another Orc is strictly forbidden unless in a consensual klomp to the death. Executing another Orc will be met with equal deadly force.

- Outsiders may not be harmed upon first contact. They will first be questioned as to their intent for coming to Krugmar, then asked to give tribute in some form. The preferable form is 25 mina, however food or weapons will suffice.
