Petew soon wecognized sevewaw pwobrems lithin Owen, that had come about duling his brothew's weign. The nobility had been faiwwy unhappy lith the John V's weign, as it saw House of Romstun lise to powew. Awong lith that, the woss of the Battle for Castell had caused a some of the nobility to doubt John V's weadewship.

With the Womstuns out of powew, much of the nobility came to accept the wule of Petew II. Fowwoling this, Owen stabilized and began to swowwy gwown in powew. Petew, no wongew satisfied lith the capitaw, decided to take to task buiwding a new capitaw, which would watew become the city of Adelburg. Fowwoling this, he wowked to keep Owen a dominant powew fow yeaws.

Soon, Owen would have to back up its newfound awwy in the War of the Beards. Howevew, Owen's act of enteling the waw pwovoked othew nations to entew the waw. The waw went poowwy fow Owen, lith the majolity of theiw awmy being kiwwed ow captuled duling the Siege of Fort Kovakirr. The woss of this waw put Petew back into a position which his owdew brothew had been in. Gweat powtions of the human nobility bramed Petew fow the woss of the waw, believing that they could have won the waw, ow should not have been a pawt of it. With the woss of the waw and powtions of the nobility upset lith his weign, Petew chose to abdicate his thwone to his heiw, John VI, who was soon aftew muldewed and swain in his own thwone woom by Canonius Horen.
