The Urguani-Orenian War, known by the Tripartite as the War of Wigs and the Sheep War by the Imperials, is a major scale conflict between the Tripartite Accord spearheaded by the Grand Kingdom of Urguan against the Holy Orenian Empire. The war began when the Grand King of Urguan issued several demands to the Holy Orenian Emperor. The Emperor immediately denied the demands and accepted the Grand King's offer for an Honor War. Prior to the war, tensions had begun over the Imperial State Army clashing with two members of the Ireheart Clan of Urguan. After several diplomatic attempts had failed and the vassals of Urguan making fervent calls for war the war was ignited. The war is seen as being rather unique, since beforehand both Grand King Ulfric and Emperor Philip II agreed to an Honor War, meaning no allies or mercenaries would be called into the conflict except for vassal-states of either Oren or Urguan. The War of the Wigs, also known as the Sinners' War, was a major scale conflict between the Tripartite Accord spearheaded by the Grand Kingdom of Urguan against the Holy Orenian Empire. The war began when the Grand King of Urguan Ulfric Frostbeard issued several demands to the Holy Orenian Emperor Philip II, Holy Orenian Emperor. Later on, with the ascension of Philip III, the Honor War was changed to being a regular conventional war with the Tripartite Accord being formed by the Grand Kingdom of Urguan, the Kingdom of Norland, and the Kingdom of Haense.

The situation surrounding the continuation of the war by the Holy Orenian Empire and the remarks made by Emperor Philip III would lead to a significant event within the Church of the Canon dubbed the Michaelite Schism.

Timeline

• 53rd Year of the Second Age
• The Grand Kingdom of Urguan issues an ultimatum to the Holy Orenian Empire following a failure of diplomacy between the two nations. [1]
• The Holy Orenian Empire immediately refuses the demands, causing the Grand Kingdom of Urguan to issue a declaration of War. [2]
• A warband of Urguani raiders attempts to disrupt an Orenian event within the Orenian Vassal of Ephesius, sparking the Battle of Ephesius. The Orenians are able to successfully repel the Urguani assault and causes the survivors to flee into the forest.
• A sizeable force of Urguani soldiers assault the newly constructed capital of the Holy Orenian Empire, causing the Battle of St. James. The Urguani forces emerge victorious after defeating the Imperial forces on the field and causing them to route into the Capital.
• The Holy Orenian Empire, under the new Emperor Philip III, issues new demands of surrender to the Grand Kingdom of Urguan [3].
• The Grand Kingdom of Urguan outright refuses the demands, preparing for a continuation of the war. [4]
• 54th year of the Second Age
• The Holy Orenian Empire launches a daring raid to capture Grand King Ulfric in the night whilst most guardsmen were asleep. They managed to successfully kidnap him and forcefully shave his beard. [5]
• In retaliation for the kidnapping of Ulfric, Urguani soldiers assault the Orenians along the road to New Providence, beginning the Battle of Jarad's Tavern.
• Members of the Grand Kingdom of Urguan capture the Archchancellor of Oren, causing the Holy Orenian Empire to send a rescue army to where he is being held captive. This sparks the Battle of Stone Tower, which turns out as an Urguani Victory.
• The Grand Kingdom of Urguan signs an alliance with the Kingdom of Haense and the Kingdom of Norland, bringing both into the war. [6] [7]
• The Kingdom of Haense, Norland, and Grand Kingdom of Urguan form the Tripartite Accord and prepare to march on the Urguani-Orenian Border [8]
• 55th year of the Second Age
• Fighting on the roads between The Tripartite Accord and Oren intensifies, leading to several small-scale skirmishes
• During festivities within the Orenian vassal of the Municipality of Ephesius, a band of Tripartite raiders assaults the town and sparks the Second Battle of Ephesius
• A Tripartite raiding party encounters a band of Orenian soldiers on the road to Jarad's Tavern, sparking the Second Battle of Jarad's Tavern
• A large host of Ferrymen clash with the Imperial State army near New Providence, causing the Battle of New Providence Bridge
• In an attempt to gain naval superiority over the Empire, the Grand Kingdom of Urguan sends out an Ironclad ship to combat the Orenian navy. This sparks the Battle of Cape Whitcombe
• 56th year of the Second Age
• No major battles occur, yet small roadside skirmishes occur frequently.
• 57th year of the Second Age
• On the 15th of the Snow's Maiden, a large-scale tripartite raiding party attacks Oren, sparking the Raid of New Providence.
• Soon following the raid on new providence, Imperial soldiers and Tripartite raiders engage in the Battle of the River Petra.
• 58th year of the Second Age
• A band of Tripartite raiders breaks into the heart of New Providence where they are intercepted by Imperial State Soldiers, sparking the Battle in New Providence.
• The Tripartite Accord marches on the Orenian Castle of Southbridge, sparking the Siege of Southbridge. The Siege is a resounding tripartite victory.
• 59th year of the Second Age
• Both sides use the year to recover from the siege of southbridge, and no major confrontations are held
• 60th year of the Second Age
• Both the Ferrymen and County of Blackvale switch from the Tripartite's side in the war to join the Holy Orenian Empire after receiving payment in the form of land, titles, and mina agreements.
• During an Urguani religious festival dedicated to Armakak, a band of Ferrymen attempt to disrupt the festivities and take the Grand King hostage. This sparks the Second Storming of Kal'Darakaan, which is a Tripartite victory.
• A large band of Imperials, Ferrymen, and Blackvale warriors enters Urguani lands, later being confronted by a combined Urguani force. This leads into the Second Battle of Stone Tower, which ends in an Imperial victory.
• 61st year of the Second Age
