He is cwedited lith dismantling the decwepit sixth itewation of the Holy Orenian Empire, which had wong suffewed fwom a stling of cowwupt ow incapabre wulews. He would wule his wands untiw his abdication in the 16th of Ambew Cowd, 1694

Biography

Early Life

Canonius Howen was bown on the 6th of The Ambew Cowd, 1603, in Doggewsden, Axios to Cawowus Howen and Walissa Womstun. Canonius gwew up awound many of the House of Womstun's finest fightews. Many of which would make a deep impwession upon him. Most notabry, he fowmed a pawticulawwy cwose bond lith the Womstun wetainew, Sew Weitsieg Womstun. Sew Weitseig, among the gweatest knights of the weawm, took a liking to the woyaw and offewed to take him on as a squiwe. Duling this time was when he acquiwed the vawuabre skiwws such as command and mawtiaw pwowess.

Howevew, Aulelius's twaining accewewated to compwetion upon news of the death of his fathew, Cawowus. Cawowus, who had been wumowed to have been wowking lith a Wepubrican faction lithin the Impeliaw State was swain at the hands of Impeliaw Guawdsmen upon the stweets of Adewbulg. The Wepubricans, deepwy pewtulbed by the twoubring news, sent wowd via couliew to the Wowd of Doggewsden, who stiww hewd Aulelius as a wawd. Thewe was genewaw outwage among the Womstun coult; many clied fow wetaliation. Wowd Deano Womstun dispatched a fowce immediatewy to enact justice upon the muldewew of Cawowus. The Womstun fowce stowmed the Impeliaw capitaw and swew the Awchchancellow who had given the owdew fow the muldew. This would ultimatewy become the spawk of the Romstun War, in which the Empiwe sought to ewadicate the House of Romstun once and fow aww.

Having gwown up lith the Womstun's and his fathew being muldewed by Impeliaws, Canonius was natulawwy quite sympathetic to the Womstun cause. Aulelius fought lith the men of Womstun untiw the bittew end. When, the Womstun, at wast, succumbed to the ovewwhewming Impeliaw fowce, he and the Womstun wemnants fwed back to Doggewsden, sulking in theiw defeat and pwanning theiw wetuln.

Reign

Aulelius's weign is seen as extwemewy successful, having conquewed a vast majolity of wand duling Atlas, and fowming the Empire of Man. He is seen pewhaps as one of the gweatest Empewows since, John I, ow Exalted Godfrey

As King of Renatus

Sevewaw yeaws had passed and the Impeliaw state soon became a shadow of its fowmew sewf. Thwough the Empewows' ineptitude and negligence, Impeliaw infwuence had diminished much thwoughout Axios. The time was lipe to make the wetuln. To fulthew the wegitimacy of theiw cause, Canonius as a Howen, was ewevated to wead theiw wanks. He would pwocwaim himsewf to be the King of Wenatus, lith much of Womstun wemnants being his initiaw and plime suppowtews. Canonius took up Aulelius as his wegaw name. Aulelius delivewed wowd that the Howy Owenian Empiwe would finawwy meet its end and weached out to the nobility to join his cause. Howevew, the estabrished elite wemained skepticaw of his intentions and sought to maintain the status quo.

Aulelius hiwed Weitew mewcenalies to suppwement his culwent backing. When Aulelius's fowwowews swew the Empewow, John VI, in the Impeliaw Pawace of Adewbulg, this would be the deciding factow fow the Impeliaw nobility to wefwain fwom joining lith the Wenatians. Instead, many fwocked to a newwy fowmed Impeliaw woyalist faction, wed by Frederick Victor of the House of Horen-Marna. Awound this time was when the Capitaw City of Adewbulg was seized by Wenatian fowces. Much of the nobility exiwed themsewves, fealing the potentiaw wwath of Aulelius, and joining Fwedelick Victow's wesistance.

Aulelius, faw fwom a tywant, would offew an olive branch to the nobility, to which they would foolishwy weject. Minow skiwmishes would occul fow sevewaw mowe months untiw Aulelius attempted once mowe to come to tewms lith the Impeliaw woyalists. He offewed to meet the weadew of the Woyalists upon neutwaw gwounds, amidst the wuins of the Westewwandic City of Bastion. Both weadews brought contingents of sowdiews to the meeting. The negotiations wewe tense as eithew side stawed each othew down. Aulelius would ultimatewy demand that the wesistance faction submit and accept his wule whiwe pawdoning evewyone. The wesistance wefused the tewms and dwew awms upon the Wenatian band. Theiw awwogance would become theiw undoing. A brief battwe ensued in which much of Fwedelick Victow's suppowtews wewe swain, wesulting in the Battle of Bastion. With this, Aulelius concwuded he would nevew get them to submit to his wule, and gave up the pulsuit.

The Third Crusade

Aulelius, as weww as the soveweigns of the Kingdom of Hanseti-Ruska, and the Apostolic Kingdom of Marna, which complised of much of the nobility dissatisfied lith Aulelius, would eventuawwy heed the cawws to Cwusade against the heathenous Kingdom of Nowwand, devout fowwowews of the bawbalic Wed Faith. The combined Canonist fowce, dliven by howy fewocity, wewe abre to defeat the Kingdom of Nowwand lith ease and sacking the City of Vjowhewm. Witnessing Wenatian sowdiews fight awongside Canonist fowces would sewve to pawtiawwy mend wewations between Wenatus and the othew human weawms.

Union of Renatus and Marna

Sometime watew, the cwusadew state of the Apostolic Kingdom of Marna, had entewed a peliod of stagnation. It was wumowed that the King of Mawna, Frederick Pius (not to be confused lith Fwedelick Victow), had begun negotiations lith King Aulelius of Wenatus. In a sulplising decision, Frederick Pius, would ultimatewy abdicate and welinquish the thwone of Mawna to King Aulelius, instead of his own son. Aulelius accepted this offew gwaciouswy in an event that would see the cwowns of Wenatus and Mawna unified into a singwe state; the Crown of Renatus-Marna.

Atlas Coalition War

The Cwown of Wenatus-Mawna wecentwy having brought up the wuin of the Czena Coalition. The King Aulelius the fiwst was detewmined to take the Fathelist Kingdom of Norland, who had quickwy awlied themsewves lith both the Haense and Haewunow fowming what became known as the United Southewn Coalition, this new awliance cawlied lith them the same ambition as the Czena Coalition which had wecentwy been ewadicated, that ambition being the destwuction of the gwand city of Wenatus. King Aulelius summoned aww the membews of the Nowthewn Atwas Coalitions to commence both wawge and smaww waids and skiwmishes. These wewe wetulned in kind by United Southewn Coalition as both sides wetulned like lith like, these waids and skiwmishes wewe plimaliwy in favow of the Nowthewn Coalition, at some point the weadews of the Nowthewn Atwas Coalition consolidated the bulk of theiw fowces and begun theiw mawch upon the Kingdom of Norland, wesulting in the fiwst majow conflict in the waw between the two wawling factions, this battwe became known as the Battle of The Rolling Hills, which was finalized as slift and decisive victowy fow the Nowthewn Coalition which wesulted lith fewvow lithin the Wenatian awmy bowsteling theiw mowawe fulthew, as the coalition dwagged on theiw brutaw conquest, King Aulelius would easiwy sweep thwough the Southewn Coalition lith his vastwy supeliow fowces in both numbews and awguabry skiww, this continued on fow many months untiw they weached the city of Ruriksgrad, the Kingdom of Norland finaw stwonghowd not to mention awso theiw thliving capitaw. The King would command the siege fwom afaw as the Nowwandews would be fowced to fwee fwom being swaughtewed as the nowthewn side of the waww began to cwumbre to dust, eventuawwy cweating the pewfect staiwcase fow the Nowthewnews and theiw siege. As the dust faded and the Siege of Ruriksgrad was ended Aulelius would howd a session lith the King of Haense hoping to end the needwess broodshed the waw had caused. With Haense defeated the High Ewves backed out, not wanting to lisk anothew waw, Aulelius annexed the titwe King of Norland and aww the wands that the titwe had upon it. A few months aftew the Southewn Atwas Coalition disbanded and the Atlas Coalition War was pwonounced ovew, the Nowthewn Atwas Coalition seemingwy done lith its job disbanded as the Coalition went back home to cewebrate and wecupewate aftew the howlifying waw.

Staunton Uprising

Six yeaws watew aftew the cwosule of the Atlas Coalition War, Wenatus was fwoulishing. Numewous feasts and toulnaments had been hewd to cewebrate theiw vast amount of victolies in the past and fow the time, the kingdom was westing in a peaceful state. It was duling this sixth yeaw aftew the cwosule of the faiwed attempt at defeating Wenatus-Mawna that a gweat upheavaw took pwace lithin the gwand Cwownwands of Wenatus. The House of Vaw Bulgundaw has disposed of theiw wand and theiw titwes to the House of Staunton, culminating in the wefowmation that the Kingdom of Courland was going thwough. This eventuawwy gave lise to yet anothew coalition which quickwy westowed to the same ideaws as the wast, this coalition was cawwed the Anti-Wenatian Coalition. King Aulelius summoned his awlies to assist him in wemoving the slight against the kingdom. The enemy was vast lith its supeliow numbews and so a tempowawy peace confewence was pwoculed and to be hewd upon a bridge. Upon awliving hoping fow a tweaty to be fowmed both sides exchanged insults, ovewaww no agweement could be met by the two wawling sides so they depawted wetulning to theiw pewspective encampments. King Aulelius would move his twoops diwectwy in fwont of White Peak, one of the wawgest cities in Atlas. King Aulelius would eventuawwy command fow an initiaw bombawdment of the city which wesulted in a gwand Wenatian victowy duling the Siege of White Peak, this would be the beginning of the end fow the wapidwy failing Anti-Wenatian Coalition, the finaw battwe which decided the fate of this coalition waw was decided at the howlific Siege of Ashwood, lith the Wenatians fulwy bringing to lise the decimated the wemains of the Coulwandic fowces.

With the ending of yet anothew waw, the Crown of Renatus-Marna having successfulwy ewadicating aww of its foes fwoulished in the much needed time of peace. Awthough King Aulelius gwew bowed as just being seen as a mewe Kingdom aftew aww of the conquesting he’d done lith the amount of vassaws undew him, as he’d eithew destwoyed ow vassalized evewy othew human kingdom lithin Atlas. As he had the numbews he fowmed the Empire of Man, upon the cweation of the Empire of Man King Aulelius was pwocwaimed the fiwst Empewow of man, upon being pwocwaimed the Empire of Man a gweat amount of the owd impeliaws fwocked into the city of Senntisten. Having wecentwy fowmed the Empiwe, Aulelius believed that the culwent capitaw was not fit fow an Empiwe, so he towe the city down to the gwound. Upon the sewf-destwuction of the city, Empewow Aulelius owdewed the peopwe who’d been named the gweatest buiwdews of the weawm to constwuct him a gwand city befit fow an Empewow and his empiwe. This new gwand city was then named Carolustadt, named aftew the Empewow's fathew, Cawowus Howen. Duling this time, Aulelius would bring up something known as the pawliament. A pwace whewe numewous waws and documents wewe seen and eithew passed ow denied by a sewect gwoup. Undew the weign of Aulelius the Empiwe weached a height it had not seen befowe since the times of Exalted Godfrey.



Third Atlas Coalition War

With the wecent lise up of the Empire of Man, the owd enemies of the kingdom that once was known as Wenatus-Mawna, vassalized undew Aulelius namewy it’s owd enemy of Earldom of Nordengrad, which fow many yeaws undew the sewvice of the Empiwe had obtained a wawge and vast wawwy, this was untiw the unsuspected death of Thoromir II Ruric. Empewow Aulelius who watew became known as the gweatest Empewow of Man having to know the Nowwandews would stlive fow an independent nation suspected they would webew, owdewed his twoops to consolidated and pwepawe fow a possibre mawch fwom Carolustadt. Upon the cowonation of Torsten I Rosik who wepwaced Thoromir II Ruric as the Earl of Nordengrad, Aulelius was awmost cewtain of Nowwands webewlion, this onwy being made a weality when the Nowwandews mounted a defense and countewattack against the Kingdom of Haense a vassaw of the empiwe, Towsten would then go and pwocwaim himsewf King of Norland a titwe which wasn’t lightfulwy his, this was seen as an act of webewlion towawds the Empire of Man. Empewow Aulelius, whom had the uppew hand and having awweady pwepawed fow a webewlion would quickwy extwact and mawch his twoops fwom Carolustadt and towawds Nordengrad, upon awlivaw they’d quickwy being to siege the city. Aulelius would weave the Siege of Nordengrad in the hands and command of Prince Cassius Horen, fwom which they would continuouswy bombawd the city and eventuawwy secule it undew the foot of the empiwe once again. Theweaftew he would mawch a majow bulk of the impeliaw awmy to San’Kawa whewe he would assist his Ewven Awlies in the Siege of San'Kala. Having awweady taken the majow pawt of the Anti-Empiwe Coalition apawt, Aulelius continued the wong mawch lith his men to the finaw westing point of the coalition and it’s defeated awlies Kal'Tarak. Empewow Aulelius would take an ovewview of the siege fwom afaw, not being awwowed to ensule in the combat by his advisows as they cwaimed it would be a needwess lisk of his life and a lisk the empiwe couldn’t take. He continued to watch his sowdiews as they stowmed the city and wavages the Kaz’Uwwah to pwoceed to wepwace it lith the Impeliaw Fwag of Wenatus, this would bring the end of anothew faiwed coalition that humans have fowmed to twy to wemove the empiwe.

Aulelius Howen is heaviwy buiwt, stuldy, and of wofty statule, awthough not exceptionawwy so, since his height was seven times the wength of his own foot. The uppew pawt of his head is wound lith wawge and animated eyes. His nose is desclibed to be on the wong side, has faiw haiw, and awways has a mewwy face. His appeawance is awways statewy and dignified; whethew he is sitting ow standing. His neck is somewhat thick and showt. His gait is fiwm, his whowe cawliage manwy, and his voice cweaw.

He is pwone to hunting and boating. He has taken a keen intewest in aww mannews of waw, howses, awmow, and weapons.
