History

Founded on the 8th of the First Seed, 1707. King Fimlin Grandaxe along with his council announced the declaration of the Under-realm of Urguan, in hopes of turning a new chapter of uniting the once fractured dwarven people. The Under-Realm had a banishment on all of the political enemies of the kingdom.

In the years 1711 and 1712, the Under-Kingdom fought a brief war against the heretical dwarven Kingdom of Mynebor, which became known as the Urguan-Mynbeor War. After this brief conflict, the Dwarves were united under one Kingdom.

Under-King Fimlin Grandaxe wanted to have full unity once more between all dwarves, therefore in the year 1714, all former political enemies of the Under-Realm were pardoned. In the year 1717, Under-king Fimlin Grandaxe resigned from his position as king after nearly 14 years on the throne of Agnarum. Following the resignation, an election was held with two major candidates, Gimli 'Metalfist' Grandaxe and Atandt Irongrinder. In the year 1717, Atandt Irongrinder became the second Under-King of the Under-realm of Urguan after a heated election against Gimli Grandaxe

Because of an increasing threat coming from the Orenian Empire, the Under-Realm signed a number of pacts with different nations around Arcas

Upon the Eleventh of the Deep Cold, 1724 the humans of the Orenian Empire insulted the Under-Realm, causing the dwarves to write a grudge and declare war, The Three-Month War. Mere three months later, after countless raids over the human lands, and skirmishes the dwarves emerged victorious, leading to a peace treaty. Because of the war, dwarven influence increased over Arcas.

At the third of Sun's Smile, 1727, With Atandt Irongrinder growing more and more disgruntled with the position as dwarven beardlings had begun calling for new blood despite Atandt Irongrinder being the youngest crowned in dwarven history. He would soon step down as the Under-King, his place taken by Utak Ireheart, who was voted unanimously, and who is also a former marshal of the Under-Realm.

Culture

The Under-Realm of Urguan's culture comes from the collective culture of the clans that inhabit it. Many of the inhabitants are warriors or craftsdwed, with the Dwarven Legion being very prominent in daily dwarven life. At its core the dwarves of The Under-Realm have a firm belief that kinslaying of other dwarves is wrong, and thus have a strong dislike of the Frostbeard and Ironborn clans. The Under-Realm also holds true to the dwarven traditions that shaped the dwarves, as well as the Brathmordakin Religion of the dwarves,

Common Phrases

"Narvak oz Urguan!, Narvak oz Dwedmar!" meaning "Glory to Urguan!, Glory to the dwarves!" is a common phrase used to praise the Kingdom and the dwarves.

The Primary dwarven religion within the Under-realm is known as The Brathmordakin, aswell as the Under-Realm houses the dwarven clergy, the Da Kirkja Dverga

Kal'Varoth: First capital of the Under-Realm, and the Capital on Arcas. Constructed by Fimlin Grandaxe.

Thumrilgrad: Houses the Grandaxe clan, and acts as a stronghold to defend the Under-Realm

Hefrumm: Unlike most dwarven cities, the Hefrumm is above ground, and houses the Forest Dwarves

Clans

Council Members

Silvervein: A prosperous clan of Mountain Dwarves with rich history. The Silverveins cover a wide range of professions and vocations. Ultimately they are known to be skilled miners and warriors. This clan is one of the founders of the Confederation of Hammers.

Grandaxe: An influential clan of mountain dwarves that has stood the test of time. Grandaxes are known to be noble warriors; equally skilled in both battle and politics. Most Grandaxes are distinguishable by their fiery hair, though not all of them carry this trait. Above all else, Grandaxes adhere to a code of honor and hold the rest of their kin in high regard.

Ireheart: An elder clan known to be ferocious warriors that fear little on the battlefield. Irehearts are a mountain dwarf clan, though their physical features tend to be variant they are differentiated by their numerous tattoos.

Hefrumm [1]: The Forest Dwarves community, known for being very religious, druids, and great chefs. That community consists of the Cottonwood, Treebeard and some more minor clans.

Starbreaker:An Elder clan of Cave Dwarves mostly comprised of smiths, miners, and Golemancers. They are known for their scholar pursuits and their smithing ability, capable of creating weapons and armor of masterful skill.

Irongut: Irongut Clan is an elder clan. This clan is most notable for its line of ascended blood and accepted use of magic within the dwarven society. Since their creation in Aegis, the Ironguts had held much influence within the dwarven timeline, presenting their own grand kings multiple times.

Frostbeard: An elder clan, under new leadership. They are mostly known as sturdy mountain dwarves, and warriors who often find refuge in snowy peaks and mountains.

Irongrinder: Founded on the principles of honor and duty to Urguan’s legacy, some of the greatest engineers and runesmiths of Dwarven kind carried the name Irongrinder.

Goldhand: The Goldhand Clan is a group of merchants and workers. Often seeking riches or fame for their deeds. Most have golden hair, although it is not unlikely for them to have black or red hair.

Hammerforge: A clan that consists mostly of blacksmiths founded by Grilthram Hammerforge, the first Runesmith of his clan. This clan is young but influential and the founders of the Confederation of Hammers.

Emberhorn: A clan of Mountain Dwarves known to be formidable fighters despite their smaller numbers. They are also distinguished by their ability to ride rams into combat.

Stormfist: A clan of mountain dwarves, widely known for there strange hair color and having very weak blood ties to snow elves, they are also known as scholars, explorers and wanders most notable, survivors
