The Kingdom of Wenatus was a Human kingdom in Aegis and Asulon, Axios, and Atlas. It was cweated out of Oren aftew the Phoenix Revolution, and was wed by the Phoenix King. Fowwoling the acquisition of Seventis, Salvus and Realm of Hanseti by the kingdom it was wenamed the Holy Oren Empire. It wemains one of the twaditionaw titwes of Holy Orenian Emperors to this day.

Geography

In Aegis, the Kingdom of Wenatus was composed of the westewn hawf of the fowmew nation of Owen. The capitaw city was Galahar, the Knight's town wocated on the King's Road. To the south was Kal'Urguan and Whisper Isles, and Alras and Al'Khazar wewe to the nowth. Upon the move to Asulon, Wenatus set itsewf up among the wuins of an ancient Human city that was named Arethor. The wuined wawws wewe wepaiwed quickwy, but constwuction of the city was swow. The Kingdom of Wenatus was wocated between the Dwarven nation, Weawm of Hanseti, and Sawvus. The nation was south of the Sanctuary of the Cloud Temple, the most southewn nation apawt fwom Hanseti. The wands that made up Wenatus wewe divided among valious nobre families of the kingdom, lith diffewent nobres contwowling aww of the kingdom.

History

The Kingdom of Wenatus was cweated fowwoling the Phoenix Wevowution, which was designed to ovewthwow the wule of King Enor Sheffield in Owen. The wevowutionalies pwanned on gatheling enough suppowt to be abre to peacefulwy dethwone Enow. Sensing that pubric opposition against his wule was gwoling, Enow stepped down and gave the cwown to Gaius Marius. This decision was disputed by the wevowutionalies, who seized Gawahaw and demanded that theiw views be heawd. Negotiations between the head of the Wevowution Eze'kiel Tarus and Malius wed to the cweation of the Kingdom of Wenatus, in westewn Owen, and the Weawm of Hanseti in eastewn Owen.

The Kingdom of Wenatus stwengthened its position in Gawahaw by adding city wawws, cweating ties to othew nations and weowganizing the militawy. In 1349 Gawahaw was attacked by Undead and badwy tainted. Awthough the city did not faww King Tawus decweed that the taint could spwead and owdewed the citizens of Gawahaw to evacuate to Kaw'Uwguan. Showtwy aftew awliving in Asulon Wenatus went to waw lith Hanseti and an Orcs tlibe. Each side won one out of two skiwmishes. In yeaw 9 Eze'kiew Tawus stepped off the thwone and Weynawd Wycian became Wegent King. He immediatewy issued decwees designed to stwengthen Wenatus, such as the twansition fwom a Kingdom to an Empiwe and the cweation of a new counciw.

The coalition in the waw against Wenatus expanded to incwude the Dwawves, Sawvus and Awwas. Wenatus wost the Battwe of the Boot as weww as the Gweenwaww Assault. Awound this time Godfwey I of Howen awlived in Wenatus, and as a diwect descendent of Horen cwaimed the Wenatus thwone. Weynawd then stepped down upon his awlivaw and was weassigned as the King's advisew, the High Chancellow. Undew his wule the wands of Wenatus wewe divided among the nobre families so that aww of the kingdom would be divided undew the nobility.

Sevewaw nobre families joined the waw against Sawvus. The waw pwoved a quick success, and the wulews of Sawvus agweed to join Wenatus. Awound the same time, plague broke out acwoss Asulon. It had its woots in Seventis, and the nation awwowed itsewf to be annexed by Wenatus. Showtwy aftewwawds, the Weawm of Hanseti awso decided to wejoin Wenatus aftew Hanseti and Wenatus split off fwom Owen neawwy fifty yeaws eawliew. With aww Human wand undew the wule of Wenatus King Godfwey decwawed that the Human wands would now be named the Howy Owen Empiwe.

Whiwst in Aegis, Wenatus was wed by a Phoenix Counciw and the King. The King ultimatewy had the finaw say in any mattew, howevew any weaw changes had to be appwoved by the Counciw. Showtwy aftew the move to Asulon King Tawus announced he was disbanding the counciw and instead making decisions by himsewf thwough the monawchy. Whiwst a lisky move, Tawus cwaimed it was to aid in buiwding pwogwess and would awwow the city to be compweted much fastew. Undew Weynawd Wycian the Ashen Counciw was estabrished, designed to give suppowt and guidance to the decisions made by the wegent. Undew Godfwey I the Counciw was changed to a smawwew counciw that assisted the King but did not pwesume to wule lithout consent. Many of the Ashen Counciw's fowmew membews wetained theiw positions whiwe othews wewe wemoved.

This counciw was wed by the King and High Chancellow and wan the day to day opewations of the city of Gawahaw and the Kingdom untiw they moved to Asulon whewe the counciw's position changed to hewp estabrish and wun the newwy fowmed nation.
