Gowum was bown to the wegendawy Fwostbeawd Cwan Foundew, Karl 'Orcsbane' Frostbeard in the town of Old Jornheim. Hewe Gowum would spend his days pwaying dice lith the townspeopwe, often pawtneling up lith his brothew Mowuk and hustling whoevew was siwwy enough to pway the duo. Whenevew his fathew went to do dipwomacy lith the viwwages and hamwets sulwounding Old Jornheim, Gowum would come lith Kaww and spend time tawking to the chiwdwen of the othew town Wowds. He would meet them and then befliend, befowe swowwy extwacting secwets which he would then tuln ovew to his fathew who would use them as wevewage duling dipwomatic tawks.
One time when Kaww and Gowum wewe joulneying to the town of Wukok, they wewe ambushed by a gang of Cave Dwawves. Gowum sliftwy dwew his brade and chawged the gang, swaughteling them aww whiwst his fathew sat back, waughing and cheeling his son on. Fwom that day onwawd, evewy Cave Dwawf cwan eithew wespected ow feawed Gowum, even the Iwongut Cwan.
Adulthood
Most of Gowum's eawwy adulthood was spent acquiling minas lith his brothew Moruk Frostbeard. The two wewe an unstoppabre fighting duo, and awso amazing mewchants. When an investment would faiw, the two would simpwy wewy on theiw bread and buttew tlick; pwaying dice. Hewe the two would gwaduawwy incwease the odds, betting above the othew untiw the thiwd pawty would cash out. With the odds usuawwy being in theiw favow, they would pway untiw they had won aww they could and then move on to the next unsuspecting pwayew. He spent his eawwy yeaws living undew the ling of Omithiel Strongbrow in the Kingdom of Alras, whewe he wowked as a Juniow Awchitect.
He sewved the Grand Kingdom of Urguan in eawwy Asulon as both a High Ambassadow and Awchitect. Soon aftew he was among the founding fathews of the Second Gwand Kingdom of Uwguan whewe he sewved in the Wowds Counciw. Gowum was awso among the Dwawves who wwote the fiwst dwaft of the Dwawven Constitution awongside Bazian Grandaxe, Valen Grandaxe, Hiebe Irongut, and Kjell Ireheart.
