Field Marshal Peter Baldwin d'Arkent, 2nd Duke of Sunholdt, KCL (12th of Owyn's Flame, 1732 - 18th of Horen's Calling, 1814) was the second Duke of Sunholdt. A grandson of both Joseph I, Holy Orenian Emperor and Antonius I, Emperor of Man, he was noted for his breadth of military service to the Orenian crown, serving as the first captain of the Helena Dragoons and then as Lieutenant Colonel under General Alren DeNurem.

Youth & Adolescence
Military Career
Peter Baldwin enlisted as an ensign in the Imperial State Army prior to the creation of the cadet program. d'Arkent exceeded expectations through his earlier career which lead him to be granted the creation of the 3rd Brigade; Helena Dragoons of the Imperial State Army which he took the Captain rank of. Under his command, he led the 3rd Brigade to many victories throughout the empire, most notably the Battle of Boomhill. His victories gained him a strong reputation throughout Holy Orenian Empire & eventually it gained him a knighthood.
In 1793 through continued hard work, Peter Baldwin, now the Lieutenant Colonel of the army was promoted to General of The Imperial State Army & Secretary of War after the resignation of former general Alren DeNurem.
Death
After several months of being bedridden, Peter d'Arkent passed away in a Providence hospital room on the 18th of Horen's Calling, surrounded by friends and family members.

Armorial bearings
Arms were granted and confirmed in 1795 by the Imperial King of Arms, Tiberius John Hartcold. The Field Marshal's paternal arms (Gules a bend argent, overall a dragon or) were augmented with those of the Duchy of Sunholdt to honour his new stations as Colonel of the First Regiment of the Imperial State Army as well as Secretary of War.
