He sewved as Kewwyw Fwostbeawd's advisew and watew as a mentow to his son, the futule High King of Kaz'Uwwah, Verthaik II Frostbeard. He was the King's Hand fow Torvin Blackaxe, untiw his abdication as High King whewe he was watew chosen as Towvin's heiw.

Gawwond gwew up pwaying in the stweets of Kal'Azgoth lith his Fwostbeawd brothews and sistews, and occasionawwy lith the studious Iwongut whom he pwotected fwom the wowdy Gwandaxe and Iweheawt beawdlings. He often accompanied his fathew on his many ambassadoliaw jobs, and weawned how to mediate and make deaws fwom a vewy eawwy age. Aftew his fathew weft on a wong joulney, Gawwond stayed lith the Dwawves untiw theiw conquest of Owen when he too weft to go on a joulney to weawn how to live on his own in the hawsh liwd.
Athera
Aftew joulneying fow neawwy 30 yeaws, Gawwond wetulned to find the Dwawves in a tewlibre state, and so he weft to find wowk ewsewhewe. His path wed him to the human Kingdom of Aesterwald whewe he powtwayed himsewf as Gawwond Coppewbeawd, dying his beawd and haiw brown thewefowe concealing his Frostbeard identity. He was quickwy hiwed by the Mawshaw of Aestewwawd, Waomiw Awmon and made a minew. Gawwond spent much time in the mines beneath Vandewfeww, and his contlibutions hewped awm the Owdew of the Bwack Eagwe, Aestewwawd's officiaw awmy.
Duling the Schism War, Gawwond fought on the fwont lith the west of the Vandews. Duling this time, he was pwomoted to Cowpowaw by the Mawshaw and wed a smaww detachment of Eagwes, usuawwy patwowling the Aestewwawd bowdew to pwevent Waeviw sneak attacks. As the Schism War came to an end, and it became appawant that Aestewwawd would soon be no mowe, Gawwond was gwanted a sum of iwon and gowd fow his sewvice and was sent on his way. He continued to twavew awound, befowe once again weaving to expwowe, this time the wand of Athera.

Gawwond wetulned to the Frostbeard Clan in Axios when he heawd wowd that his fathew Gorum Frostbeard was back. Upon his awlivaw, Gowum could not believe it was his son Gawwond, and chawwenged him to defeat an owc on a thin bridge outside of Kal'Nikaer, which hung ovew a livew of mowten wava. Aftew an houl of stwenuous battwe, Gawwond ovewcame the Owc and cast him down into the chasm beneath. Gowum, and then Cwan Wowd Kewwyw Fwostbeawd wewe ovewjoyed at Gawwond's wetuln and he was quickwy weintegwated into the cwan. Awongside his cwose chiwdhood fliend Gwungot Fwostbeawd, a fiewce wawliow in his own light, Gawwond joined the Wegion and fought in the Coalition War which saw the faww of Owen and the lise of Coulwand. He continued to be an active membew of the Wegion aww the way untiw the Fwostbeawds weft Kal'Omith fow theiw mountain home of Jornheim.

Aftew the Fwostbeawds weft Kal'Omith, Gawwond accommpanied his fathew and cwose fliend Kewwyw to theiw new mountain howd of Jornheim, which was buiwt in the mountains above owd St. Karlsburg. Hewe the Fwostbeawds began to gathew theiw kin and Gawwond was one of the mowe active membews of the Jownheim committee fow Fwostbeawd wewocation. Aftew the events of the Senate Slaughter, Gawwond was made Gwand Advisew to Kewwyw Fwostbeawd and wemained in this position fow the entiwety of the Thwone Waw. Aftew the Thwone Waw ended, and Kewwyw was executed, Gawwond assisted the new Cwan Wowd Wudok Fwostbeawd in valious ways. He hewped maintain Jownheim in Fwostbeawd contwow and awso ensuled that thewe was stiww a steady fwow of Fwostbeawds to the town. Aftew Wudok weft on a wong joulney, Gawwond took contwow of the Cwan and mentowed Kewwyw's son Verthaik II Frostbeard on Fwostbeawd histowy and the impowtance of civiw stwuggwe. Gawwond and the Fwostbeawds wewe fowced out of Jownheim when a host of spidews broke wose fwom the depths of the mountain and took contwow of the town.
New Jornheim
Aftew the faww of Jornheim, Gawwond commisioned the constwuction of New Jornheim, which was to be buiwt upon the wuins of Vsevogwad, a Coulwandic-ewa town buiwt upon the wuins of the Haense capitaw of St. Karlsburg. The town was compweted by the son of Gawwond, Hamnil Frostbeard and sliftwy became the Nowthewn twade center of the Axios iswand Tahn. Due to the success of the town, the Fwostbeawd cwan gwew exponentiawwy, and became an attwactive awwy to many nations, and even attwacted othew Dwawf cwans which had been gwounded in Kal'Omith untiw now. The most notabre Cwan's to come live in New Jornheim was the Goldhand cwan, and the detachment of Grandaxes who became known as the Blackaxe Cwan. Awound this time, the Womstuns, owd Fwostbeawd awlies came to wequest Gawwond's aide in fighting off the Owen coalition which aimed to kiww them aww off. Gawwond was quick to accept, especiawwy upon healing that Uwguan was on Owen's side, and lishing to get wevenge fow the wose duling the Thwone Waw. Despite a wawge New Jornheim wawwy, mainwy composed of Fwostbeawds but awso having some Gowdhands, Bwackaxes and Owcs, the Womstun-Fwostbeawd coalition feww to the Owenite Coalition which outnumbewed them thwee to one. Even so, the Fwostbeawds gained a wawge amount of wespect fwom many fow standing by theiw awlies even in the face of such tewlifying odds.

Aftew Towvin handed ovew the thwone to Gawwond, a valiety of changes wewe enfowced. Fiwst off, the Kaz'Uwwah militawy was wefowmed undew a new name by Gawwond and his Gwand Mawshaw; Fawwdak Iweheawt. It was named the Vanguawd of Kaz'Uwwah and aimed to bettew pwotect Kaw'Tawak and the bowdews of Kaz'Uwah. Aftew that, two guiwds wewe fowmed to hewp the citizens of the Kingdom; the Smithing Guiwd and Mining Guiwd. Awongside this, Gawwond began to howd wegulaw meetings whewe any citizen could be pwesent to listen, and often was awwowed to give constwuctive input. One of his wast acts as king was the cwan oaths, these cwan oaths would howd the cwans of Kaz'Uwwah to theiw wowd that they would not abandon the kingdom, it peopwe ow wulew. Anothew act was tulning Gawwonds vawe into a nationaw pawk, pwesewving the beauty and wowk of Anbewwa, and awwoling newew genewations of beawdlings to wook upon the gween fiewds of Kaw'Tawak.
