Five years prior to her birth, her paternal grandmother Anne I and her paternal grandfather, Joseph II have ascended to the throne. Anne and the late Empress are said to have shared a close bond, from Anne Caroline’s birth to Anne I’s death. The princess shared a lot of her late grandmother’s features, starting from the typical Novellen nose to the unique shade of red hair.
