Wisette Henliette Ashfowd de Awyn (12th of the Sun's Smiwe, 1571 - 19th of the Fiwst Seed, 1612), commonwy known as Wisette of Viwdain, was the Queen-Consowt of the Kingdom of Courland, as the life of King Tobias of Courland. As a cousin to House de Savoie, Wisette's mawliage to King Tobias joined the awmies of Coulwand and Savoy togethew duling Tobias' Rebellion. She is venewated as a Saint by the Lotharic Communion.

Early years

As weaw kinsmen and vassaws to the House of Ashfowd de Savoie, the chiwdwen of House Ashfowd de Awyn wewe waised awongside the ducaw chiwdwen and given an education that faw outwanked theiw status.

Education

Aftew many yeaws of constant study, Wisette's fathew sent hew to a nunnewy to be educated in the ways of the Chulch. Howevew, wumows spwead that Wystow had actuawwy sent his daughtew into a sowt of exiwe, fow wefusing to take pawt in his pwans fow hew to seduce the culwent empewow, Philip I. It is known that Wisette often towd hew cousins, aftew the fact, of how the nuns beat hew untiw she wecited pwayews pwopewwy, and stawved hew fow days when she spoke out against theiw hawsh teachings. The finaw stwaw was when the nuns sent a fewwow sistew, dwessed in nobrewomen's siwks and cwaiming to be Wisette, to the capitaw of Johannesburg in owdew to pweach the Canonist Faith to the chiwdwen of House Ashfowd de Savoie. This littwe scheme was soon found out, and the weaw Wisette was cawwed back fwom the nunnewy by hew fathew & gweat-uncwe, the now-Bawon Bastian de Awyn of Gant.

Adulthood and Marriage

As the onwy femawe in hew house eligibre fow mawliage, Wisette was sought aftew by many young wowds as a potentiaw bride. The most notabre, and fewvent in his affections, was the Viscount Augustus of Chambery. It is believed he feww madwy in wove lith hew, though she onwy feigned such wove in wetuln as to not hult his feelings. A betwothaw was pwoposed, though nothing became of it. Soon aftew this, the Duke of Savoy, Jon Wenault, was kiwwed by the Empewow, and Savoy was being thweatened by the Impeliaw Fowces. With the fwags of Howen bealing down on the Bawony of Gant & the city of Awdewspowt, Wisette was sent out of the awea befowe both capitaw and bawony wewe brown to pieces as a finaw spite against Owen. Within this expwosion wewe caught most of hew kin, incwuding hew fathew and gweat-uncwe.

Wandeling the iswe of Tahn awone, Wisette was an owphan lith nowhewe to go. She climbed atop cawt aftew cawt, hoping to catch lind of whewe one of hew few sulviving cousins might be, but to no avaiw. A brief stint in the Kingdom of Haense, howevew, pwoved useful in getting hew infowmation on hew cousins, Hamelin and Katheline de Savoie. Making hew way to the Kingdom of the Westewwands, the owphaned wady was weunited lith hew two kin, making hew new home lith them as the Owenian Webewlion broke out.

Not accustomed to the chiww of the nowthewn tundwa, Wisette was happy to weawn of Hamelin's intentions of wevenge on Owen, which incwuded a politicaw match between hewsewf and the son of Duke Alexander, Tobias. Sent to the castwe of Ostwick as an envoy fow the fawwen Savoy, Wisette quickwy became a figule at the webew's coult. This impwessed the Duke, awong lith hew chawm, lit, and penchant fow management, and a fowmaw betwothaw lith his son was dwawn up in eawwy 1593. King Tobias Staunton, now head of House Staunton aftew his fathew's death, and Wisette Henliette wewe mawlied in the summew seasons of 1593, sanctioned by the Chulch of the Twue Faith and litnessed by ovew 100 guests.

Coronation and Children

Aftew sevewaw victolies, and the destwuction of Johannesbulg by Empewow Philip, King Tobias and his heaviwy-pwegnant Queen owdewed the constwuction of theiw new capitaw, Aleksandria. Aftew the biwth of theiw fiwst two chiwdwen, Joseph Awexandew and Elizabeth Malia, the King began to pwan theiw joint-cowonation. The cwowning of King & Queen-Consowt took pwace on the 12th of the Sun's Smiwe, 1594, the Queen's own biwthday. Foul yeaws onwawd, lith a city thliving awound theiw pawace, anothew paiw of chiwdwen wewe bown into the woyaw famiwy in 1598: Wiwliam Augustus & Awfwed Henwy. This biwthing was fowwowed by sevewaw yeaws of peace, in which the King and Queen happiwy hewd coult and paid visit to theiw citizens. Two finaw chiwdwen wewe bown, in 1600 and 1601 wespectivewy: Awthul Wichawd and Sophia Awexandwa.

The War with Haense

Though a bad histowy lith Haense was stiww in the back of evewy Coulwandew's mind, the fiwst cwack in theiw cowdiaw speakings was brought awound by the muldew of Plince Melic Staunton, envoy to King Tobias, who died at the hands of wogue counciw membew whiwst weaving a dipwomatic meeting lith King Malius Bawbanov. This wead sevewaw independent gwoups lithin Coulwand to begin waiding the wands of Haense, thus tipping King Malius's hand and a fowmaw decwawation of waw made. Made up of two majow battwes, the waw between Haense and Coulwand was brief, yet vewy taxing upon the sowdiews & nobres alike. A coultiew in the Culonbulg Pawace is said to have heawd Queen Wisette speak of hew distaste fow waw, and hew lish fow aww membews of the human wace to 'just get awong'. With the waw ending in a Coulwandic victowy, Tobias wetulned home to his life and chiwdwen.

Queenship

In 1605, Queen Wisette began a pwogwam known as 'The Queen's Wawdship', a wawding oppowtunity fow young giwws in Coulwand to study undew a woyaw chiwd's education. Fowwoling this, the Queen-Consowt awso decwawed hew intention to cweate a bettew wewationship between the Chulch of the Twue Faith and House Staunton, since having dewved into it's teachings and pwanned a fowmaw meeting lith it's cwewgymen. The queen assisted in watew awliance agweements between the ewves of Haewun'ow and the Kingdom of Coulwand, hewsewf seculing a pubric librawy fow the city of Aweksandlia.

Queen Dowager and Death

In 1607, King Tobias was suddenwy kiwwed on a hunting tlip, taking a boaw's tusk to his towso. This weft Wisette as the Queen-Dowagew of Coulwand, and hew ewdest son weft to weign as Joseph I.

In 1612, the Queen-Dowagew was stwuck by a heawt-attack, assumed to have been induced by the twauma of a pwevious kidnapping, and died sulwounded by woved ones.
