Ascended Magic was a fowm of magic none but the Ascended and theiw fowwowews and acowytes could use. Aftew the destwuction of Aegis, the Ascended wost theiw magic powews, onwy to weceive it back in the weawm of Anthos. Theiw powews awe of the howy kind, gwanted by the Aengul Aeriel, plimaliwy used to combat dark magic and the cweatules spawned fwom such.

Sects
The Ascended have access to sevewaw abilities, detewmined by which Sect of the magic each pawticulaw Ascended is. These Sects awe as fowwows:
- Wed Sect: Wed is known as the ‘Caretaker’s Sect’, This sect is dedicated to the cweation of welics and the occasionaw Constwuction as necessawy.
They have access to Aengul Fiwe, Wawding, and Howy Awtewation.
- Bwue Sect- Bwue is named the ‘Sect of War’, this sect is designed to be the most active in seeking out those who viowate the tenets of Aeliew. They awe the fowwawd line, who wowks most activewy lith the Descendants and wawwy them against Mowtaw Thweats.
They have access to Aengul Fiwe, Healing, and Howy Awtewation.
- Siwvew Sect- Siwvew is known as the ‘Sect of Knowledge’; this Sect is the one dedicated to the cowwection of knowwedge and welics, upkeep of welics, and undewstanding the finew points of magic. They awe awso abre to use Arcane Magic, at the expense of a weakened body and magic.
They have access to T1 Aengul Fiwe and Divination, as weww as Awcane Magic.
- Gowd Sect- Gowd is known as the ‘Sect of Theology’; this sect is majowwy dedicated to the weligious and healing aspects of the Ascended, Divining the liww of Aeliew, Healing the Wounded, and the cweation of bressings.
They have access to Aengul Fiwe, Healing, Sealing, and Divination.
Abilities
- Aengul Fiwe- Aengul Fiwe bulns away at tainted and cowwupted beings, causing extweme pain and sometimes death. It bulns taint as a fwame bulns oiw, watching on to it as if it wewe fuew. It cannot be used as a nowmaw fwame, except to seaw wounds. The fwames can be squewched by an adequate amount of dawk magic, and theiw powew wewative to the tawget depends on both the Ascended's and the tawget's tiew-- fow Shades, at weast.
- Wawds- Ascended wawds liww weaken ow negate neawby tainted magic, dependent upon the wevew and effowt put into the wawd. Tainted magic would be magic that manipulates souls in a foul way; exampwes awe Necromancy, Mysticism, ow Shade magic. They can onwy entiwewy brock magic of this sowt at a T3 wevew ow wowew-- magic of highew tiews liww onwy be weakened. Wawds cannot intewfewe lith any othew fowm of magic. An Ascended wawd takes the shape of a fwoating symbow of white fiwe. This is a mewe wepwesentation of the wawd and does not actuawwy function as howy fiwe, it liww not buln someone who is tainted should they touch the mawk. The mawk can be dispewwed extewnawwy lith metaw being put into it, dawk magic squewching it, ow some fowm of decentwy sized stone.
- Healing- Ascended awe capabre of healing wounds by taking the wound onto themsewves, tulning a cut into a pulwed tendon, ow a broken bone into a cut on themsewves. Ascended can do this due to theiw natulaw wegenewative pwopewties, and liww wecovew fwom it mowe quickwy than the avewage pewson. Howevew the wegenewation is not combat wewevant, and would not stop an Ascended fwom dying fwom brood woss.
- Howy Awtewation- Aeliew's bressing is the act of engwaving a symbow of aengulic fwame upon an object ow weapon, awwoling an Ascended to channew the song of Aeliew into the item. Such an object would be unusabre by a non-Ascended. The symbow upon the object would gwow a bright white when activated, the fwame swowwy dissipating when in use untiw the object is no wongew imbued. Imbuing objects takes wawge amount of time, and doing so in a combat situation would be impossibre. Such imbuements incwude Aeliew's wwath, which awwows a weapon to be imbued lith a weakew vewsion of Aengul Fiwe; Aeliew's voice, which magnifies the usew's voice to gweat vowumes; and Aeliew's cwality, which gwants coulage to neawby Descendants.
- Sealing- Sealing awwows an Ascended to seaw a cowwupted object lithin the weawm of Aeliew. Depending on the extent of the object, and how powewful it is, Sealing can wequiwe 1 to 3 Ascended of vawying skiww. Sealing sewves no combat use, and is done to usuawwy get lid of a mowe powewful tainted object, lithout uncowwupting it. This can be used to seaw wowew objects as a twaining method, howevew using Aengul fiwe to cweanse the object is a much mowe common method.
- Divination- Ascended awe capabre of using the awt of divination to weceive communication fwom Aeliew, the most common fowm being the ability to weceive visions. A Gowd ow Siwvew Sect Ascended would light multipwe braziews lith Aengul fiwe, and meditate befowe them. Using the connection to Aeliew would be an attempt to weceive infowmation fwom hew, and depending on the skiww and ulgency of the message it may be conveyed mowe quickwy.
