Early life
Prince Philip Augustus, or the Duke of Crestfall as he became known as in later life, belongs to the Imperial House of Novellen. He was born in 1759 at Novellen Palace, Helena. His mother, Anne Augusta was the heir presumptive to Peter III, the reigning Holy Orenian Emperor at the time. His father was Joseph Clement, Duke of Helena and Adria, son of Adrian de Sarkozy, the Lord Protector of the Holy Orenian Empire.
As the son of the heir presumptive of Oren, he was styled His Imperial Highness Prince Philip from birth, and was fourth in the line of succession to the Imperial throne. He is presumably named after a previous Holy Orenian Emperor, Philip I who died during the Coalition War by blowing himself and Johannesburg up instead of letting the famed Imperial City fall into rebel hands.
