Saoren Seregon (Born: Sullas, 1663–Present), is the current Lord of Caladras, a Lordship under the Exilic Kingdom of Númendil. He came to be known amongst the Númenaranyë for his efforts and dedication to the fledgling Kingdom and to Tar-Númenatâr Foronathor of House Arthalionath. Through martial skill, scholarly insight, and a tact mindfulness, Saoren made a name for himself alongside his wife, Dele Seregon, Lady of Caladras. Inversely, he became infamous amongst his kin in the homeland of Haelun'or for attempting to slay Maheral Seth Calith following a terse and heated trial within the Silver State.

The High Elf is characterized by his typically fair skin, his long, blond hair, and athletically fit physique. (Discounting the rounded gut of fatherhood.) Like many now within the Seregon family, Saoren is passionate, head-strong, and fervently dedicated to his cause and to his family.

Early Life

Saoren’s life began as he was born in the city of Okarn'thilln on the lands of Atlas to Taelh’ir and Ayleia Sullas in the year 1663 of the First Age. His birth name was Saoréan Maelnyr after his maternal family’s heritage. As a growing, young high elf he quickly started life with a bright and intrepid disposition. His father, Taelh’ir, was an aspiring physician quite often traveling to various places in times of strife and need. His mother Ayleia likewise was one for the road. Ayleia was something of a scholar and would often be out following leads and rumors on sites to behold or scavenging libraries for information on finds. Around the time Saoren was in his mid-teens, then Sohaer Cenwall Maeyr’onn and the Silver Council were working through their attempts to reestablish The Eternal College with the help of Okarir’maehr Odessa Visaj. As Okarn’thilln and the Silver State stagnated, so too would the internal prospects for Saoren to achieve a higher level of learning within the city.

It was when the September Prince finally took Okarn’thilln in the year 1680 of the First Age that Saoren was on his own at the relatively young age of 17. While the Silver Council formally dissolved the Silver State and an aspiring Dimaethor Visaj was quickly gathering High Elves around Caras Eldar, Saoren was finding his way in The Atraedean Kingdom of Gladewynn. The young and restless Saoren was strong-headed at that age, and he held disdain for the instability and events leading to his homeland’s fall. The Silver Enclave of Fi'halen and the newly appointed Maheral Dimaethor Visaj was given no attention by the young Sullas.

Stability and peace was nowhere to be found for Saoren and his time in Gladewynn. Raids and skirmishes from The War Nation of Krugmar continually breached the sovereignty of the kingdom. The Third Atlas Coalition War arrived on the young Sullas’ doorstep as King Kairn Ithelanen declared war on Krugmar after attacks and bloodshed found their way to the capitol. An alliance was founded between the Empire of Man and the Kingdom of Gladewynn and Saoren lost any will to find peace and learning as his mother had. Saoren took up the blade for his kingdom and marched with the Chirran for San’Kala.

Following the siege, Saoren stayed within the occupied San’Kala for a brief period of time before he set out in the short interim of peace to his scholarly pursuits. This paved the young Sullas’ path for the next 40 or so years as he was fulfilling his ideal of a nomadic traveler.

On the periphery of Saoren’s mind during his nomadic years, he kept tabs on the construction of Lareh’thilln and the quickly approaching war that his kin within Haelun’or faced. From their northern stronghold in the vicinity of the Empire of Man, it was apparent the alliance of the two nations would be drawing itself to blows against the nearly unified alliance of the Elven Union. While Saoren’s home was situated in Gladewynn, for all intents and purposes, he was still largely traveling and without something he considered a home himself. The Reimposition of Unity which led to the march of the Human-Elven alliance on Alderyn ended up being something of a wakeup call for young Saoren. As he read the accounts of the fallen Dark Elven prince and the cessation of war, his thoughts returned to the lands he was once home to.

At this point in Saoren’s life, he had hardly known a time of security or peace. War among the Descendants was something he learned all too early on was something unavoidable. Each new conflict gave rise to more of a call to action for the young Sullas. With the Marnan Holy Orenian Empire and the Princedom of Fenn allying themselves and the declaration of Haelun’or’s annihilation, Saoren found himself at arms alongside the Empire of Renatus and fully drawn into the War of Two Emperors. Defending the Renations in the Siege of Helena, the young Sullas was in his second major battle. The victory in its defense led him to more battles though, and Saoren would march on Reza with more of the Haelun’orian-Renatian alliance. The war pushed onward, farther and longer than Saoren could manage. Despite the threat, allied forces eventually saw themselves to victory and the High Elven Maheral that Saoren once held little regard to was suddenly of peak interest to the Sullas.

Saoren soon found out that during the War of Two Emperors, the former Maheral Iaria Elervathar had returned to the Silver State and discourse amongst the High Elves would lead to a dissolution of their current government and the installation of the new Elervathar Diarchy as Sohaer and Maheral were split between Dimaethor Visaj and Iaria Elervathar respectively. Still, Haelun’or was a far cry from the nation that bore Saoren initially, but nevertheless he decided to firmly return to his homeland in whole.

A Return to Silver

The boon to trade, progress, and health of the High Elves granted by the new seat of government was undeniable for Saoren to commend. His reintroduction to the city was met with opportunity and grace and the young Sullas would quickly latch ties into The Eternal Library and rekindle the long forgotten will to learn and study. A stroke of coincidence brought memories of Saoren’s father back into the Sullas’ mind as another opportunity presented itself to learn and apprentice under Okarir’Hiylun Dele Seregon within the city’s clinic.

Time took its course in the first couple of decades that Saoren lived in Lareh’thilln, he moved into a position in The Eternal Library when Laurir Aiera Sullas was Okarir’maehr. There he would serve dutifully for a long tenure with fellow Tilruir Khaeryr Leverys, one he would become close friends with. Saoren also would eventually finish through his training and learning in medicine and move off from the apprenticeship of Dele and onto field medicines as conflict continued to linger over all Descendants.

Eventually, a greater conflict began to surface upon the realm of Arcas and soon enough the Inferi War was underway following the arrival of demonic Inferi into Korvassa. Saoren’s attention was brought out of the Silver State once more as the growing internal call to aid in the war effort. Politics and internal squabbles within Haelun’or as well as the somewhat recent pact that was formed with the Arch-Drakaar Azdromoth had been brewing disdain within the younger Sullas. Divisions and lines drawn between the High Elves within the city found Saoren somewhat torn between those in his family, such as Laurir Aiera Sullas, and those who he looked up to, like Dele Seregon and Celiasil Uradir. At the time, his closest inspiration for whom he trusted was Rhaelanthur Seregon. The calming aura of the elf was about the only thing that kept Saoren level-headed while he was in the city. Needless to say, these divisions further guided his interests back out of the Silver State and onto what he saw as the problem at hand.

In the earliest days of the Inferi’s incursion, Saoren spent a good deal of time near Al-Faiz and Marsumar in the South of the continent. He’d eventually become somewhat knowledgeable on the cultures of the Qalasheen as well as forming a few connections within members of The Crimson Edict in Marsumar. As the Inferi War carried on, however, events started to pick up for Saoren and time started to blur and hasten beyond his immediate understanding. What felt like the span of a few weeks found him near death alongside many of the fallen in the Siege of Aegrothond, saw him with the sight of a nearly razed Silver city, and saw him separated from his first wife Nessa.

It wasn’t until Saoren stood with many Descendants upon the Eye of Man in the old site of Curon that he found any moment to breathe and reflect. Yet reconnecting with those he cared for and the people with whom he claimed to be his kin was not on the table for Saoren before reality began to unravel within Arcas and the flight to new lands began.
