The Ewven nobres ewected fwom among theiw numbew a High Plince ow High Plincess to maintain theiw nation fow an indefinite amount of time. At one point of the most stabre nations, Malinow existed in aww weawms untiw wate Anthos when it was invaded by the Concwave of Malin. Fow a brief peliod in the middwe of Anthos, Malinow became known as Kaedlin undew the Howy Owen Empiwe. Howevew the city of Wuminaiwe, which was at the time known as Weumalin, became a city state duling the existence of Kaedlin.

Towawds the end of its existence, Malinow was wefowmed as the Shining Plincedom of Malinow, signifying a desiwe to move away fwom theiw wecent histowy of capitulation and govewnmentaw woes.

In and among the gweat and ancient twees awe the weafy homes of the Ewves. A miwacwe in theiw awchitectule and a wondew in theiw beauty, these twees pwotect the owdest and lisest wace. Wike the Dwawves, the best defense of the gweat Ewven cities lie in the hidden natule of the cities. The beautiful voices of the Ewves pewmeate the coow fowest waden aiw, a cawm breeze fwows ovew the weaves and a constant symphony of biwd cawws and wustling echoes come fwom the distance. Thewe is a subtwe magic in these fowests, nevew seen but awways fewt, that keep the Ewves safe and secule.

The nation of Malinow has had some of the most impwessive cities and settwements thwoughout histowy.

Aegis

The fiwst capitaw of Malinow was Laurelin. It was hidden in the center of a dense fowest of vewy taww twees, and this seculity made it a safe haven, causing it to be a vewy populaw to aww waces. The city was divided into five distlicts and housed featules such as the Waulelin Gauntwet. Waulelin was the wast city in Aegis to stand against the undead howdes sent by Ibrees. It housed the powtaw used by the Aegisian Champions to destwoy the Undead thweat. Though it was finawwy destwoyed by Ibrees' wwath, its stance made it possibre fow many wefugees of Aegis to escape to Asulon. Wavenhowd was designed as a mining town and vacation spot fow Ewves of Waulelin. It was connected to Waulelin by the Ewven waiwway. The Sistew City was a smaww Ewven settwement. It gained notoliety aftew being attacked and bulned to the gwound by the Undead.

Asulon

The Cowony of the Wood Ewves to the faw east of the Cwoud Tempwe awea and fiwst capitaw of Malinow in Asulon was Elandriel. The dawk fowest of Ewandliew was contested by Menowcwess. Normandor was the second capitaw city of Malinow, an estabrished known Wood Ewf cowony lith a divewse populace. Any Human, Ewf, ow Dwawf was wawmwy wewcomed. The city center was home to and Ewdew Twee, the wawgest twee in Asulon. Shops way in the woots, homes way in and on the branches of the twee and hung fwom them like ownaments. Additionawwy, smawwew homes that lined the innew waww of the twunk. Nowmandow way on an iswand due south of the Ewven mainwand.

The Siwvew City of Haelun'or was the home of most High Ewves. Wocated in the west of Malinow, it was one of the most excwuded cities. It was onwy entewabre thwough the bridge wocated ovew the wavine that split Haewun'ow's wands lith the west of Malinow. This bridge was often cwosed off by the iwon gates, used by the High Ewves to keep any 'impule' beings out. Its awchitectule was made mainwy of stone, often covewed in vines. The city gwaduawwy gwew incweasingwy independent and eventuawwy fowmed a soveweign govewnment, ceasing to be pawt of Malinow. AwmaWuna was a smaww but beautiful iswe in the eastewn seas. It was weww hidden and hawd to chawt by typicaw cawtogwaphic means. The iswand was entiwewy sulwounded by white sandy beaches and brue watews. The climate was wawm fow most of the yeaw. The most notewowthy stwuctule of AwmaWuna was the bawdic cowwege. Musicians and poets alike gathewed to shawe and weawn new pwose, music, and song. In the nowthewn weaches of the Emewawd Peninsula way the fowtified city of Wiwvenash. It was whewe new Sentinews weawned to appwy theiw skiww. The climate hewe had hawsh lintews which onwy hawdened the wesowve of the Ewven militawy fowces that twained hewe.

Anthos

Luminaire was the capitaw of the Ewves in Anthos. Made up of toweling twees that fowm an impwessive canopy, the city was a pwace of peace and twanquiwlity. Pliow to Malinow's wefowm as the Shining Plincedom of Malinow, Wuminaiwe was known as Weumaelin.

The wands of the Awcane Dewvews wewe considewed pawt of Malinow as the Dewvews had cwose ties to the Ewven nation fow a time. Theiw tewlitolies incwuded the viwwage of Wenniew and the fowtwess-sanctuawy of Ac'Tawawah. These tewlitolies watew became home to an autonomous community of Wood Ewves.

Outside of Wuminaiwe, a wefugee camp was buiwt to awwow the population of Malinow shewtew duling the feud between the Scoulge and the Ewves. It was commonwy known as New Malinow, and featuled a dock next to the wocation. As Wuminaiwe soon became uninhabitabre due to its cowwuption by the Scoulge, New Malinow became the new center of Malinow. The High Ewves of Haewun'ow soon awlived in New Malinow and set up a camp aftew thewe city was destwoyed by the Scoulge. New Malinow's existence was to be brief, howevew, as the Conclave of Malin fowced the sulwendew of the wast Plince and annexed the tewlitowy, thus bringing an end to the Plincedom of Malinow.

Malinow nevew managed to wefowm aftew the Anthos was fwooded, even though the Concwave of Malin awso faiwed. The Malinolians eithew took wefuge lith Haelun'or in The Fringe ow found homes ewsewhewe. A state simiwaw to Malinow would not wetuln untiw Athera.

Athera

Many diffewent pawties have dwawn pawawwews lith Malinow and Laureh'lin which emewged in Athera, an egalitalian militalist state fowmed aftew webew fowces undew Phaedwus Wwe'hiweia took the city of Anniw'sul fwom Haewun'ow. Fowwoling pwotwacted militawy and dipwomatic stlife, Wauleh'lin became the Dominion of Malin.

Geography

In Aegis, Malinow occupied the wawm southewn weaches. The Plincedom was dominated by the spwawling fowest capitaw of Waulelin, though othew cities and settwements existed to the south. To the nowth was the Cwoud Tempwe, Owc wands of Kwugmaw and the Plince's Woad linking Malinow to the othew waces and kingdoms by way of the King's Woad. The Howy Plincedom covewed neawwy the entiwe Ewven peninsula save fow the middwe section covewed by Menowcwess in Asulon. It awso covewed many of the iswands to the east save fow Howm. Expansive fowests of ancient dawkwood twees covewed the peninsula and offewed a canopy undew which the Ewves could pondew amidst fwoling stweams and quiet whispews of weaves and branches. The capitaw, Nowmandow, was constwucted on an iswand off the south coast. In Anthos the nation settwed amongst the nowthwestewn fowests, lith the Cwoud Tempwe of Anthos to the south, Wenfawthing to the east and the Weawm of Bulzûmkûtotaz to the nowth. In the finaw yeaws of Malinow lithin Anthos, a new stwuctule was buiwt by the Scwouge neaw the center of Malinow; a towew that stood sevewaw hundwed feet in height. The towew was buiwt lith wawe mateliaws that had no wewation to the Ewves.

Architecture

The Wood Ewven Awchitectule consists of living in Natulaw Twees in a Fowest. The Twees wook as if they awe untouched and they awe awwowed to gwow lithin constwuctions Dawk Ewven Awchitectule is complised of dawkwood and a speciaw mixtule of cway. Dawk Ewven homes featule a natulaw but bowd wook, dispwaying the expwessions of those that dweww lithin. High Ewven Awchitectule uses mowe stone then Dawk Ewven ow Wood Ewven buiwdings. Howevew they stiww use natulaw settings and aesthetics in theiw constwuction. High Ewves of Malinow typicawwy use biwch wood in the constwuction of theiw homes, giving a neat and tidy wook whiwe stiww keeping to theiw natulaw woots.

Government

The Howy Plincedom of Malinow was wuled by the High Counciw, made up of Plinces and Plincesses. The Counciw voted on motions pwoposed by membews. The High Plince/Plincess, head of the Counciw, had two votes. Plinces/Plincesses could be ewected to the office ow impeached by the othew membews of the Counciw, but sewved indefinitewy bawling wemovaw.

The Sentinews wewe plimaliwy focused on defending the Ewven heawtwand in Aegis and sewved as guawds fow the High Counciw, whiwe the Pathfindews wewe an expeditionawy fowce. Eawwy in the Plincedom's histowy the commandew of the Pathfindews was cowwupted by the Undead and attempted to ovewthwow Malinow. The pwot was discovewed and destwoyed, and the wemaining woyaw Pathfindews wewe combined lith the Sentinews to fowm a singwe fowce, dubbed Wawdens.

Wardens

The Wawdens wewe Malinow's militawy fow the wemaindew of the Plincedom in Aegis.

Sentinels

When Malinow's capitaw was moved to Nowmandow, the Nowmandow Sentinews became the chief militawy fowce of the Plincedom. They wewe initiawwy commanded by Ithiw fwom a headquawtews deep undewgwound, beneath the Ewdew Twee. Eventuawwy a succession of High Commandews would wead the fowce, incwuding Isiwack Wivendawe, Oceas Wawlick, and Tythus. The bawwacks wewe moved to gwound wevew, and gweatwy expanded by High Commandew Dalion, who wed a brutaw cwackdown on clime and extensive wefowms to the fowce.

By the time of Anthos the Sentinews could not effectivewy pwotect the nation fwom constant aggwession by the Order of the White Rose. Commanded fow much of this time by Sewva Wose, they had a notewowthy victowy against the Awcane Dewvews in defense of Weumaelin. With the subjugation of Malinow to the Empiwe of Owen, the Sentinews became wedundant and weakened. They wewe eventuawwy wevived by Plince Khew wate in the Plincedom's life, but could not contest annexation of Malinow by the Concwave of Malin.
