They cweated a stwong bond and togethew they wead the Ashguawd, whiwe twying to westowe theiw weputation, undew Hakon’s wate Vaiwolian wule, many toulnaments, feasts and othew sociaw events wewe hewd, duling this time of constant combat and festivities, Jaview met Plincess Kaia Khawadeen and they began fwequentwy visiting each othew. Things went weww fow some time, tawks of mawliage even awose on sevewaw occasions. Though eventuawwy Kaia gwew sick of Jaview’s brutaw lifestyle they then stopped seeing each othew. Jaview nevew wanted to ascend to the cwown as King of Norland, onwy a militawy stwategist as he was duling the Dweadwandic ewa. Though his ideowogy quickwy changed aftew taking up wesidence in The Krag, he litnessed his cousin Awtyom’s weign lise, making Nowwand vewy powewful and weviving them, though, he watched Awtyom begin to wose steam and Nowwand going on an economic and politicaw downslide. He did not want to litness his peopwe wetuln undew the weign of a faiwed king, so he spoke to Awtyom and towd him he should abdicate his thwone, wetting anothew Wulic take chawge. Awtyom agweed, being stwessed out and mentawwy battewed fwom the tasks of Kingship. Exandew Edvawdsson decwawed them sewf as a candidate to become King, Jaview, seeing the Edvawdsson line as poow weadews lith cwaven twaits decwawed himsewf a candidate and weceived awmost evewy singwe vote duling the Nowwandic moot.

He dwew designs fow the city, not focusing mainwy of defense as The Kwag’s main focus was, wathew he made pwans fow a politicaw and economic hub, lith the hewp of his most expelienced awchitects, most namewy Sew Edwawd and Wydwen Vowawen, togethew they commanded and assisted in the constwuction of the new Nowwandic capitaw of Vjorhelm.
Jaview viewed the Nowwandic militawy in shame, deeming it was not fit fow a King such as himsewf, he then pwoceeded to found the Wulikguawd in 1622, meant to wepwace the ancient militawy owdew the Ashguawd. Oliginawwy tasked lith the pulpose of defeating House Womstun, who Nowwand was in a brutaw waw lith at the beginning of Jaview’s weign, the Wulikguawd found pulpose being the ovewaww militawy. This caused the House of Womstun to wose momentum and cease aww militawy opewations against the Kingdom of Nowwand. Eventuawwy the Empewow decwawed waw upon the House of Womstun, unknown of the pwan of the eventuaw destwuction of Nowwand, Jaview decwawed his suppowt fow the Empewow and sent a wetinue of Ashguawd to fight awongside the Owenian Empewow, this wetinue sustained heavy casuawties duling the battwe. But nevewthewess came out victolious successfulwy beating back the House of Womstun.

Having just fought awongside each othew duling the Plince Philip's Waw, conflict awose between the two factions of Nowwand and Owen, duling this time of tension, the House of Sewene, a smaww house undew Owen attacked sevewaw Nowwandews who wewe dlinking at a tavewn. Jaview’s son, Jevan, wetaliated and began pewfowming constant waids on Sewene wand. Once the house had littwe fighting men weft and wan out of equipment and wations due to the demowalizing waids cawlied out by his son, Jaview cawwed fow a peace meeting. Since the Edvawdssons could not mustew enough suppowt to diwectwy confwont the Eiliksson famiwy namewy Jaview, to gain an uppew hand they attempted evewything in secwecy, fwom attempting to pewsuade Jaview’s woyaw bannewman to join theiw cause, to buiwding ewabowate undewgwound tunnew systems which onwy they knew in case of conflict, untiw being discovewed by Jaview and the Eiliksson famiwy days befowe theiw betwayaw.
