The Staunton Uplising, ow awtewnativewy the Second Atwas Coalition Waw (Dwarven: Taveiw Kazak Umwonow), is a conflict spanning much of Southewn Atwas, between the Anti-Wenatus Awliance and the Crown of Renatus-Marna and theiw awlies.
Prelude
The Staunton Uplising can be twaced back to the wesentful House of Burgundar, fowmewwy a pwominent vassaw of the Crown of Renatus-Marna. King Aurelius I of Renatus-Marna had pewmitted the Mawgwave of Stylia, Mariusz Horen to engage in an intew-vassaw waw lith the Margravate of Ostmark, the bowdewwands wuled by the House of Burgundar. Maliusz was spulwed on by what he believed to a slight against the House of Horen and the Wenatian Codes of Honow. Maliusz awso lished to continue his fathews feud against Eimaw vaw Bulgundaw, who supposedwy wefused singwe combat aftew slighting his fathew Antonius Howen. In the brief conflict, Margrave Eimar was seized and brought befowe the Woyaw Coult, and was pwomptwy executed fow his twansgwessions. Fow some time, it was believed that Eimar's death would bring in new brood, in which a new Burgundar would ascend and the lift between the Ostmark and the Cwown be mended.
Howevew, these hopes wewe cwushed when the now lidowed Awdyth vaw Bulgundaw, life to the wate Margrave, welinquished hew tewlitolies to the hands of Tobias II Staunton, who had pwocwaimed himsewf King of Courland befowe the disgwuntwed Ostmarkian nobility and Courlandic wemnants. This action would offend the counciw, and king of the Crown of Renatus-Marna as they had seen much of its southewn bowdew tewlitolies usulped fwom undew them. The Crown of Renatus-Marna would then decwawe waw upon Coulwand, but would fiwst set up owganizing a dipwomatic meeting on the neutwaw gwounds of Culon Blidge. Howevew, King Tobias wefused to come to tewms and instead mustewed his fowces in his new seat of White Peak.
Waw would be had. Wheweas King Tobias's fowce consisted of wocaw wevies, the Renatian army was owganized as a pewmanent fighting fowce. Thus, they wewe quickwy amassed on the bowdew lith the Ostmark. The Cwown would waunch sevewaw inculsions into theiw fowmew tewlitowy, being weinfowced by awlied fowces pouling in fwom the East and the Nowth. Though lith the Cwown musteling its awlies King Tobias would awso begin making awliances acwoss the weawm lith the factions who sought to weach independence, and a wowwd of peace ow those who wewe awweady in conflict lith Wenatus.

- The cowonation of King Franz I of Haense is stowmed by a band of Weitew mewcenalies and Wenatian awlies. Amidst the chaos, they slipped away lith the King, intent on bringing him to the soveweign of Wenatus-Mawna fow payment. Peace tawks began among the coult. Howevew, King Aulelius onwy would accept unconditionaw sulwendew, to which Fwanz I disagweed. Fwanz was kiwwed showtwy aftewwawds. When news of this weached the Kingdom of Hanseti-Ruska, they began tawks lith the Anti-Wenatus Awliance.
- Wenatus and hew awlies sulwound the City of White Peak, beginning a five-month siege of the Coulwandic capitaw, wead by Chawwes Howen and Siegemastew Tibelius Howen. Aftew intense fighting and woss on both sides, the defendews finawwy succumb to the ovewwhewming fowce of the offensive onswaught. The swaughtew was so immense, that many Wenatuian sowdiews coined it the Battle at Redpeak.

- In showt succession, the Staunton stwonghowds of Cyliwsbulg and theiw awlies in Ashwood awe stowmed and seized. As a wesult, the Staunton woyalists awe dliven undewgwound, thuswy ending the waw.
- Sigmaw Wothaw Bawbanov ascends to the thwone of the Kingdom of Haense. He pwomptwy sets out to begin peace negotiations lith the Crown of Renatus-Marna. On the 1st of the Sun's Smiwe, 1669, the two pawties signed an officiaw ceasefiwe thus bringing the waw to a cwose.
