The House of Rosius (Common: Rosius; Auvergnian: Roseous; High Imperial: Rosis) was founded in the beginning of the nineteenth century by commoners who operated as merchants, who's children later positioned themselves in politics and enrichened the popularity of the family. Through loyalty and service to the Holy Orenian Empire, they were later elevated to nobility. In the aftermath of the Brothers' War, the house was split into two, respectively the senior branch of the Kingdom of Oren retaining the Barony of Rosius and the junior branch of the Kingdom of Balian receiving the Barony of Valens.

History

Arcas

The Commoners' Marriage

It wasn't a wedding of grandiose, but a privately kept ceremony between the small houses of Darkwood and O'Rourke. Afterward, the couple was left on their own with little help from their families, it was what sparked the merchant spirit of the duo. Swiftly kicking off their business as traders, going from one end of the continent to the other. A few months passed when Maria had already been pregnant, being the first of her many pregnancies which were just to come. In approximately fifteen years, the pair had a bustling household of ten children. A year after the birth of the last children, the twins - Anne Cassia and Elizavetta Joanne, the parents had gone on their usual trading journey from which they never came back, thus they were presumed dead. Valent Philip, their second-born son, grieved for a while before realizing that his tears won't help the situation, so the boy asked his paternal relatives for help. His plead was answered with kindness and mercy, as the children were taken under the care of the O'Rourkes.

Almaris

The Harshness in Providence

As Arcas went in ruins and the populace of Helena had to evacuate, the Rosius stuck together with the O'Rourkes and moved to Providence. It was few years more, before Valent Philip had ensured himself job in the Ministry of Justice and later ran for Alderman unsuccessfully. The teenage man managed to purchase an apartment for himself and his siblings, becoming their guardian. Whilst Aboul Jean enlisted in the ISA, but not for long as he disappeared on patrol. The third-born son, Otis Maximilian had found friends in the Josephite Party, leading to his first career in politics as Alderman. Not long after, his older brother followed.
