The Common Tongue, also known as Common, is one of the six proto-languages. It is known by near all of the people of Aos and Eos and is the primary language of inter-social relations between civilized groups. Common was the language employed by the Four Brothers, though many traditions maintain that to be untrue and Common to simply be the representation of a heavily altered dialect of the ancient language. Races such as the Elves or Dwarves retain their own ethnic languages (Elven and Dwed respectively).
