The Aster Revolution
See also: Aster Revolution
Following her mother's unexpected death in 1849, Theodosia ascended to the comital throne of Halstaig. Her leadership skills were immediately tested as in the following month, the infamous Aster Revolution had begun. Early into the month of Tobias's Bounty, Philip Amadeus, the grandson of the emperor at the time, Philip II declared a formal rebellion against his grandfathers rule. At the time of the declaration, Theodosia resided in the far western reaches of the Empire, unable to attend to the immediate conflict. She had initially intended to remain neutral during the dispute however, after learning that Philip Amadeus had reached Providence with his army, Theodosia ventured to the capital with a small escort to swear fealty to the new emperor.
