The Siege of Nevaehlen occurring on the 16th of the Grand Harvest, 150 S.A. was the final and defining battle of the Haelunorian Conquest of Nevaehlen which resulted in a total Haelunorian Victory. Despite the attacking force not having access to siege equipment, the Siege lasted somewhere between an estimated six to ten elven minutes, making it the shortest siege in history. The conclusion of the siege further secured the remaining territories of Nevaehlen into the hands of the Silver State which marked the end of their freedom and made them the first nation fully conquered since the Kingdom of Elysium in Almaris.

Prelude

After the Haelunorian Victory during the Battle of Grubnakh’s Charge, both combatants began preparing for what they each knew was to be an inevitable siege of the capital of Nevaehlen. Under the command of Kolvar Uradir and Ashwyn Sythaerin, the Haelunorian host constructed a large siege camp off the eastern walls of the capital. The camp was stocked with supplies and tents for their respective army. However, the Haelunorians neglected to move siege weapons into the camp as they believed they would be useless against the small Nevaehlen force.

The Druids of Nevaehlen recognizing this began to bolster their own defenses. They lined weaponry along their aqueducts, aimed at the opposing siege camp however they spent the majority of their resources on reinforcing their military fortress which sat in between their capital and the enemy siege camp.

On the 14th of the Grand Harvest, 150 S.A., the Haelunorian force along with their mercenaries in the Warband of Mog began mobilizing the bulk of their forces into their siege camp. Their rally totaled 4,600 infantrymen which compared to their army at the Battle of Grubnakh’s Charge was a downgrade. The Nevahelen force on the other hand was able to rally two-hundred infantrymen to their cause since their former battle. Despite this Haelunorian Victory seemed all but certain.

Come the morning of the 16th, the Haelunorian Host split their host into two distinct forces. A flanking corp led by the infamous Sorcaril Sythaerin was given six hundred of the strongest skirmishes and was placed on the southern flank of the city while the remaining four-thousand Haelunorian host was left under the charge of Sorcaril's mal’maronn, Maethor Sythaerin. The Warband appointed their own additional commander in the main force, Hannes Steelguard who became widely celebrated by the Warband in the aftermath of the siege.
