The Haelunorian-Nevaehlen Conflict more commonly known among the human realms as the Elven Jungle War is an ongoing conflict between the Silver State of Haelun'or and the Cove of Nevaehlen. The root of the conflict traces back to territorial disputes stemming from the Portoregne Summit [1]. This prompted Kolvar Uradir, the Asulir of Haelun'or, in the 147th Year of the Second Age, to levy an ultimatum upon the Cove, demanding their vassalisation. Greene Caerme’onn-Norväyn, one of the Cove's Wild Chiefs rejected the demands, citing the declaration as 'Unprovked' [2]. In the month, the Asulir issued an official declaration of war to the Cove [3].

Timeline
147th Year of the Second Age
- The Silver State of Haelun'or sends a list of demands as an Ultimatum to The Cove of Nevaehlen. Nevaehlen refuses outright, claiming that Haelun'or had violated their sovereignty.
- Due to Nevaehlen's rejection of the Ultimatum, Kolvar Uradir declared war upon Nevaehlen and mobilized an invasion force to invade Nevaehlen's southern border.
- Immediately after the declaration, a sizeable 'thill host along with their dwarven allies under the command of Sorcaril Sythaerin marched to the capital of Nevaehlen. Upon arrival, they sack the city, taking several captives including several Nevaehlen Council Members and the High Keeper of the Kingdom of Norland. The captives are taken back to Haelun'or before being released as a show of good faith.
- The Kingdom of Norland, a long-term ally of Nevaehlen, joins the war on the side of Nevaehlen.
- The Matriarch of Nevaehlen, Miven Caerme'onn resigns from her position due to the war, and Yestherith Norodiir, one of the Cove's wild chieftians takes her place.
148th Year of the Second Age
- The Silver State continues its raiding campaign against the Cove. It consistently results in the capture of many esteemed members of Nevaehlen's inner council. Despite the victories, the Silver State shows restraint and decides not to execute their captives.
- On the 12th of the Grand Harvest, the Silver State in conjunction with Iron Horde Mercenaries under the command of Sorcaril Sythaerin marched into the Cove's South-Eastern holdings. The Cove and the Kingdom of Norland rally in response and meet the Silver State in a pitched-field battle. The Silver State emerged victorious after annihilating the entirety of the opposing force while only taking two hundred casualties. This allows the Silver State to hold undisputed control over the South-Eastern territories which they quickly amass into their own domain.
- After the battle, Kolvar Uradir issues a proclamation entitled 'A Decisive Strike' [4] which confirms the 'thill victory and outlines their intent to siege the Nevaehlen's capital city. Both sides soon prepare, and the Silver State begins extracting resources from their newly conquered territory.
- Haelunorian forces continue their guerrilla campaign into the jungles of the Cove. After capturing another prominent member of Nevaehlen, Greene Caerme’onn-Norväyn sends a small delegation of Nevaehlen soldiers to negotiate the ransom of all Nevaehlen prisoners held within the Silver State.
149th Year of the Second Age
- Unsigned letters begin circulating around Aevos, asking various world leaders and other prestigious members of society to help defend the Cove of Nevaehlen against the Silver State. This leads to nations such as the Halfling Realm of Dúnfarthing [5] and the Most Serene State of Lurin [6] to publically respond and denounce the letters. Upon hearing of the denouncements, the Cove of Nevaehlen publically responds, claiming the letters were not their doing [7]. Due to the nature of the letters being unsigned, many Aevosians soon began regarding them as an elaborate prank from a third party.
- In preparation for a siege of the Nevaehlen capital, the Silver State begins assembling a siege camp on the Nevahlen-Haelun'or border. The Cove responds by modifying their city for defense.
150th Year of the Second Age
- The joint Haelunorian-Mog force laid siege to the capital of Nevaehlen. After only ten elven minutes, the Siege ends with a decisive Haelunorian Victory. The Cove of Nevahlen is officially vassalized by the Silver State.
- Following the conquest of Nevaehlen, the Silver State is declared as the first Silver Empire of Haelun'or by Kolvar Uradir.
