Sergei Kovachev (Common: Sergei Kovacs, High Imperial: Sergius Kovacs, Raevir: Sergei Kovachev) (14th of the First Seed, 1531 – 19th of Sun's Smile, 1589) was the Count of Turov from 1570 until his death in 1589. Sergei, alongside Marquis Fiske of Vasiland and Baron Ruslan of Mondstadt served as one of the principal bannermen and supporters of King Peter I. Sergei was remembered for extending and expanding the military strength and influence of his own House of Kovachev while maintaining the dominant position of the Kingdom of Haense in Imperial politics.
Sergei is most notable for his stance in defense of Emperor Philip and the Empire during Andrew's Rebellion. His withdrawal of support for King Andrew II influenced many other nobles to follow suit, including Count Demetrius var Ruthern, ending the month long rebellion and maintaining the status of the Kingdom of Haense as a vassal of the Empire.
