Robert Aleksandr Ludovar, commonly known as Robert "The Fat", was the former Viscount of Seswesk following the abdication of his father, Kazimar Ludovar, the former Count of Otistadt. Robert served as the 2nd Baron of Otistadt and 9th Patriarch of Ludovar until his untimely death in 1854. He was the first-born son of Lord Kazimar Hieromar Ludovar, and Lady Anastasya of Valles. Robert was born on the 13th of Grand Harvest, 1803, just two minutes preceding his twin brother Sigmar Otto Ludovar. Inheriting all of his father's titles in 38 SA (1834) upon his abdication, Robert tasked himself the restoration of his lost familial titles and the revitalization of his families legacy and public involvement.

Early Life & Childhood

Robert Aleksandr Ludovar was born on the 13th of Grand Harvest, 1803 just a few minutes before his twin brother Sigmar Otto Ludovar. Throughout his early life Robert Ludovar grew up in his home County of Otistadt under the reign of his grandfather, Frederick I and later his father Kazimar I. The young Baron was said to be quite the rotund individual, weighing 110lbs when he was just 4ft tall. Robert found himself travelling to the Duchy of Elysium against his fathers wishes and often spent time with his close lifetime friend, Amicia de Astrea.

Robert grew up with an interest in the Brotherhood of Saint Karl, joining the Cadet's when he was only eight. Whether he did so to lose his excess weight, pursue a career in the military, or to impress the Lady Amicia, Robert eventually succeeded and enlisted in the BSK when he was just shy of fourteen. Throughout his teenage years, Robert would show great qualities of leadership and rise quickly through the ranks.

Career & Reign

Legal Career

At the age of twelve, Robert joined the Office of the Justiciar as a Royal Detective alongside Tatiana vas Ruthern, the future Lady Justiciar. The young Baron saw the height of his legal career come during the murder trial of Queen Isabel. Facing an impossible defense, Lord Robert sought every avenue to persuade the Jovenaar that his client was the wrong man involved but to no avail. Robert would retire as a legal representative and focus his attention as a detective, eventually being named Chief Royal Detective, a title which he held proudly until his death.

Military Career

Robert showed interest in the Brotherhood from an early age, joining the Cadet's of Saint Karl when he was only eight and successfully passed all tests to enlist at fourteen. This early experience proved to be fruitful, as Robert was seen to have an aptitude of leadership and courage, even temporarily obtaining command during the Battle of Krusev after Lord Marshal Friedrich Barclay was incapacitated.

The Baron would rise to the rank of Sergeant and would continue to serve as a senior officer in the Brotherhood. He served as the Commander of the Royal Cavaliers, which would see much activity during the Rimetroll War, Nachezer War, Haelun'or War, and Sutican Rebellion. During The War of The Wigs, Robert would step back from his commanding position and assumed a training role, even overseeing the Cadet's of Saint Karl and assisting in the cultural reformation of the Brotherhood. From his years as a cadet to his death, Robert would serve a total of forty-three years in active military service.

Viscount of Seswesk

Following the abdication of his father in 1834, Robert worked tirelessly to improve the standing of his House with the aide and council of his brother, Aleksey. Prior to inheritance in 1832, the brothers formed The Ludovar Foundation, an organization that provided charitable deeds to the Crown and to the needy. Famously, Lord Robert would oversee the completion of The Ludovar Initiative (later rebranded to as the Robertian Initiative a century later) in 1833. During the Haelun'or War, House Ludovar would serve as the crowns primary supplier of materials in the war effort.

Despite this achievement early in Robert's leadership, the brother's attempt to salvage their crumbling house would prove to be fruitless. In 1837, just three years after succeeding his father, the Viscounty of Seswesk was stripped from Robert, to forever be known as the Baron of Otistadt.

Lifestyle

Family & Legacy

During his late childhood, Robert met Lady Adele Barclay. Whilst Robert was an ambitious and often rowdy boy, Adele was a typically recluse girl who kept to reading books in a quiet corner. The two met officially during a Lifstala and showed interest in one another despite their many differences. Eventually the two would court for the rest of their young lives and married in 1824.
