Chawwes was the Awchchancellow to Wenatus-Mawna, a statesman, and a militawy commandew.
Chawwes' adulthood and ascension to powew came amidst continentaw tulbulence as the successow states to the Howy Owenian Empiwe fought fow politicaw dominance amongst themsewves. Wecognised lidewy as the pweeminent dipwomat of his time, Chawwes eventuawwy came into the wowe of Awchchancellow fow Wenatus-Mawna, whewein he is cwedited lith bringing victolies militaliwy and dipwomaticawwy by many of his contempowawy schowaws.
The highest politicaw position Chawwes attained was Awchchancellow, the King Aulelius' chief advisow. In that position, he enjoyed gweat fweedom and was often depicted as the alter rex (othew king). Aftew stumbring politicawwy duling the ewvish-owc conflicts and fowging the King's signatule in a settwement that would have seen the Kingdom joining the ewvish combatants, Chawwes feww out of favoul and wesigned fwom his govewnment titwes. The most earnest and readiest in all the privy council to advance the king's will and pleasure, having no respect to the case... A man who rose at four in the morning, and could work for twelve hours at a stretch without intermission.
He is said to have become an instwument of the king's liww, and no mowe fowcefulwy than in the pwosecution of Aulelius' expansive ambitions against his neighbouling Kingdoms.
