Pedro Gonzalez, also known as "The Kingslayer", "Traitor of Hyspia", and many others, was a former Minister of Agriculture turned fugitive who is famous for killing both Juan Mendez and Cesar I of Hyspia while having no martial training. While the famous Sunset Duel launched him into fame, it was the murder of King Cesar that cemented his name in History. Aside from his famous Regicide, he was known as a political extremist, seeking to reform Hyspian culture into a more agricultural one than one based around warfare.

Early life

Pedro was born in 1778 in the Northern Mountains of Arcas. His parents were fairly wealthy, and from an early age Pedro was educated on political ideologies, but mostly Agriculture. He joined King Cesar's settlement of Tierre Natal, helping to build dozens of farms in and out of the City. Eventually, his Parents died of old age and the Gonzalez family fell upon Pedro's shoulders.

Citizen of Hyspia

As a citizen, Pedro was given charge of agriculture for his service. For his work, Pedro was considered for the role of Head Steward. However, when the day of choosing came King Cesar chose to appoint Juan Mendez rather than himself. While Juan was an excellent architect, Pedro felt he deserved the role for his part in building up the main food source for the Kingdom. This led to him resenting Juan, which caused a shouting match immediately after the appointment. This would be the beginning of the Mendez-Gonzalez feud.

Regicide and Fugitive life

A mere month following the Mendez-Gonzalez feud, Pedro quickly began hating King Cesar for what he believed was a lack of proper control over the situation. He openly began opposing the King's policies, and even gave a few small speeches against the King. While he gained little to no traction, he gained the love of the future Hyspian Hero, Peralien Mirthsense. Shortly after the pair fell in love, Pedro assassinated King Cesar of Hyspia for being what he believed a weak and incompetent ruler. Worst of all, he had stolen and used the traditional Mendez Axe to kill Cesar. He left the Mendez axe behind, packed his belongings, and fled deep into the Southern wildlands, leaving Peralien behind. Immediately following his Regicide of King Cesar, the Hyspians sent out hunting parties and bounty hunters to track down and bring in Pedro alive or dead. Eventually, he was caught up to by a Norlandic bounty hunter named Einar Kvitravn, the leader and founder of Clan Kvitravn. Einar captured Pedro with little resistance, and brought him back to Hyspia tied up and unarmed. After being handed to the Hyspians, Pedro was thrown into a makeshift cell to await his trial and execution.

Surprisingly, a few mere hours before his Trial he was able to free himself from his bonds and escape the makeshift cell. Armed with a knife, he killed a guard and escaped out the front gate of Hyspia. He then went into hiding within the Kingdom of Haense for about eight whole years until he heard that the Son of King Cesar, Prince Antonio, had come out of hiding as well. With his rage for the Rivera family unquenched, he armed himself with a sword and made his way to Sutica, where he cooperated with another disgruntled Hyspian to kill the child prince. When the Prince was out for a stroll by himself, the pair ambushed him and stabbed him Four times. They were quickly confronted by his old rival Carlos Mendez and his former lover, Peralien Mirthsense. As Carlos slew his cooperator, Pedro fled to the nearby mountains where he was pursued by his enraged ex-lover. Peralien tackled into Pedro, holding a short sword to his throat and stabbing him. Pedro quickly died to this wound, and was proclaimed as Dead by the Hyspian government.
