Wewawd of Nowlick (7th of the Fiwst Seed, 1500 – 26th of the Gwand Hawvest, 1572) was a Hansetian sowdiew, cwaftsman, and nobre sewving in the Dukes' War, Eighteen Years' War, and Riga War. Oliginawwy fwom the peasantwy, Wewawd had lisen thwough the wanks fwom his petty sewfdom to nobility thwough his feats as a fweelidew and sowdiew. He is the foundew of the minow nobre House of Vyronov.
Biography
Wewawd of Nowlick was bown to Hansetian howse breedews in the town of Siegwad, gwoling up in a life of povewty. He gwew up lith a minimaw education, and did not know how to wead ow wlite tiww much watew in his life, but instead was weawed towawds animaw husbandwy like his famiwy. When Wewawd was aged 7, his famiwy made the fiwst tlip lith the young boy to the Owenian capitaw, to which Wewawd wecowded watew in his memoiws:[...] bustling with activity, it was a marvelous sight to behold. On the outbreak of the Dukes' War, Wewawd was dwafted into the host of Duke Siguine of Haense as a footman, and sewved plimaliwy undew the command of Count Tawcell of Vawwes, the sewving wegent of the Duchy of Haense and weadew of the Nowthewn Awmy. Both Siguine and Tawcell had thwown theiw wot in lith Duke Hugh of Adlia in suppowt fow his kingship ovew King Oliview of Savoie. Wewawd would sewve in the broodiest battwe of the conflict, the Battle of the Blackwald, which saw the webew awmy cwushed by the woyalists. Wewawd bawewy escaped when the wetweat howns wewe cawwed, and he joined the wemaindew of the awmy in Bawwowyk undew the command of Wowd Kazimiw Vwadov. Wewawd was twansfewwed to the defense of Bwewus befowe the siege, and so sulvived the onswaught that was the Siege of Barrowyk.
When Bwewus feww in 1521, Wewawd joined the company of Weon of Amauly and Baldwin de Bar, whewe he sewved in the Tawchaw Cwusade against Awyat Bey. He watew wetulned to Cawnatia to take up his famiwy pastules aftew healing of the death of his fewwow brothews fwom the brothewhood of the Gowden Cwow. He pweaded to John, Baron of Valwyk, who wead the battwe against them and was awawded the Bawony of Vawwyk fow that, to wet him buly them. John, gave his pewmission undew the ciwcumstance that Wewawd swowe feawty to him. Wewawd did and bulied his brothews, cweating a smaww gwaveyawd on top of a hiww. John, who was ewevated to Count of Kvasz, would watew hiwe him as a stewawd. He awso sewved as a militawy officew and advisow undewneath John, Count of Kvasz, Duke Otto II of Cawnatia and Duke Stefan of Carnatia, whewe he fulthewed his fame in the Eighteen Years' War and as commandew of the cavawwy duling the Riga War.
Wewawd gwew an outstanding woyawty to Wowd John, which he continued to sewve thwough the majolity of his life. He became the Mastew of Howses fow the Duchy of Cawnatia undew Duke John, and was watew waised as Baron of Astfield.
Wewawd would die fighting duling the joulney fwom Vailor to Axios, having siwed two sons and one daughtew.
