John Frederick, also known as John V, (Common: John Frederick; High Imperial: Johannes Frederic's; Savoyard: Johann Frederic; Hansetian: Jan Frederik) (3rd of the Sun's Smile, 1590 - 8th of the Grand Harvest, 1619) called Lackland, of the House of Horen, was the first Holy Orenian Emperor of the Sixth Empire from the 14th of the Grand Harvest, 1614 until his death. He was his father’s firstborn son by way of his empress-consort Adelina Augusta of Savoie, sister to the Duke Jon Renault. Upon his death at the Siege of Trier he was succeeded briefly by his uncle, Robert of Marna, as Lord Protector and thereafter by his younger brother, Peter II.
