Jack Amador the First was the Legendary Founder & Patriarch of the House of Amador during the first settlements of Asulon.
Contents
Origin Myths
The Founder of the House of Amador's beginnings are varied, so to accommodate, every origin myth is herein with told:
First
In Aegis, the Amador family owned a simple small-holding within the Kingdom of Salvus (or the Kingdom of Renatus), where they lived as subsistence crop farmers. The parents of Jack, Deran and Aria Amador, also had another son name Jiraiya. They lived a hard, but not unpleasant life for the time. When the brothers were still children, their home was raided by orcs & their parents were brutally murdered whilst defending their home. All of their extended family and friends died that night.
After a couple of days hiding beneath an over-turned wagon, the brothers were discovered by an Orc named Zafus. A merchant by trade, the Orc had been a passing acquaintance of the Amador farm, to stop by, trading food and cloth for tools. Upon discovering the children, Jack attempted to protect his younger brother, but was scared of the presence of another orc. After being reassured of their safety, the brothers travelled with Zafus and were eventually adopted by him, learning the merchant's craft.
Second
In Aegis, the Amador family were a relatively wealthy landholder, having started as humble farmers and moved up the hierarchy. In this version, when Aegis was claimed by the undead and the races emigrated to Asulon, the family patriarch Tristan Amador, son of Zafus Amador, Grandson of Jason Amador, looked east past Furnestock, the Kingdom of Salvus and the Kingdom of Renatus towards an occupiable island to the east. This Island blocked the Human Kingdom's Eastern access to the seas & oceans of Asulon & defending the main straights in and out. So using what supplies they had, the family moved to the island and set up the town of Vendere.
A Cousin, Jiraiya Amador, oversaw the construction and governance of the town alongside between Zafus & during this time, Jack was born to an unknown mother & Tristan. Jack Amador grew up in comfortable means, but was raised to sail a ship, command a crew & work hard of the Family. Jiraiya, his cousin, came from a union between the descendants of Malin & Horen. However, Jiraiya proved to be a diplomatic personality and aided in organising meetings between the House's new patriarch, Jack, and the Kings of Renatus.
Third
Completely unknown at the time of Aegis, Jack Amador was the natural born son of Joren & raised a leader among merchants. In the later document 'Ve Edlervik' by Viktor Kortrevich & Maxim Attenlund He is known for being a self-made man who rose through the social hierarchy from his extensive knowledge in trading and the establishments of guilds. Jack, in this version, had a group of loyal bannermen, led by his relative Paladin Arthur Amador, who establish themselves in various jobs to earn coin for the house and it was because of this, House Amador was bestowed the County title of Mondstadt.
Conclusion
Given the time that has passed, it is almost impossible to know the full truth, but it is possible that there is a grain of truth in the three tales.
First & Objectively, Jack Amador is seen as the first recognized Amador, thus discrediting the second myth while adding credence to the first & second. Second, he was known to have grown up close to Jiraiya Amador, leading some to speculate that they were brothers or cousins, with the elder Jack taking precedent over the junior Jiraiya and placing doubt on the third myth where Jiraiya is not mentioned. Next, the first myth's tale of orcs raiding a human family and murdering them all is a racially-motivated trope that is common for the time the myths arose, thus compromising it's credibility. Lastly, House Amador was and remains strongly mercantilist, a theme that is detected in all three myths. However, given where the description of the Amador's Island home in the second myth correlates to a location on the known maps of Asulon, the second myth stands more for the truth.
The Consensus of the Current House of Amador (1914) stands that Jack Amador was the Human Son of Joren and eldest brother of Jiraiya Amador, that they started as subsistence farmers close to the coast, not raided by orcs, but were instead met by Zafus who taught them how to become successful merchants. Upon transitioning to Asulon & receiving their education, one of them spotted the opportunity hidden in the Eastern Isles of Asulon, which they would later conquer & settle with the help of Arthur Amador.
Adulthood
As Jack Amador became an adult, the timeline of events are easier to follow.
Count of Vendere
Circa 1370, Jack and the rest of the House of Amador travelled over the straits separating the Human Kingdom of Salvus & Kingdom of Renatus from the rest of the Ocean. There, with religious zeal and expansionist ideals, they raised the Town of Vendere.
After colonising the Island, Jack Amador was recognised as Count of the Island.
Duke of the Holy Lands
On the 11th of the Deep Cold, 1399, Jack Amador fought in the Battle of the Lone Island and conquered the Island chain adjacent to Vendere: the Isle of Ignas Nomine & Isle of Tarrel. House Fire-eyes & House Norsem were granted the lands in return for fealty to Count Jack.
Working from the Vendere, which became the Seat of House Amador, Jack was recognised by the Church of the True Faith as Duke of the Holy Lands. Jiraiya Amador became Count of Vendere, whilst Jack maintained diplomatic relations.
This did not make him popular with his people or his own family, as a petition was drawn up in favour of the King of Salvus revoking Jack's Title and placing the Dukedom in care of Jiraiya Amador, but this does not appear to have taken place.

Formation of the Holy Orenian Empire
With the Arrival of Godfrey I, Exalted Holy Orenian Emperor of the House of Horen, the House of Amador bent the knee. Jack Amador was one of the houses to fight against the Kingdom of Salvus. After dethroning the House of Sheffield and Enfeoffing the Kingdom to the House of Hightower, the House of Amador's Vassalage was transferred to the Kingdom of Salvus, themselves now a part of the First Holy Orenian Empire. House Amador continued to consolidate their holdings and successfully annexed of the Holy Islands into the Dukedom.
At the Behest of Godfrey I, Exalted Holy Orenian Emperor, Jack Amador was responsible for the creation the new Holy Orenian Empire’s navy, a dramatically consequential decision in the future. As a result, the town of Vendere & village of Ceru were incorporated into the City of Crestfall, which boasted a vibrant trade hub out of the Empire, a Guildhouse and a new Shipyard. The creation of the Navy made Jack & the House of Amador incredibly rich and one of the most prominent in Imperial politics, though Jack did not seek to abuse this trust from the Emperor.
After a series of natural disasters began to consume the world of Anthos, it became necessary to depart for a new land. House Amador, having been the shipwrights and foremost naval power within the First Holy Orenian Empire, effectively built the fleet used by the Imperials to sail to Elysium. For this alone, Jack Amador is considered a Mythically Heroic figure.
Death
As with his Origins, Jack Amador's Death is also mythologized and mysterious.
It is believed that Jack Amador lived from Circa 1350 - 1420, placing him in his late Sixties or early Seventies by the time he died, an uncommonly long age for a man of his time. This had led to a reinforcement of the myth that some of the Amadors had Malin's blood that either extended their life longer than their peers or protected them from some of the ailments that would have afflicted others.
According to Daniel Amador, a distant descendant who left Asulon with the rest of the House of Amador, an unknown entity pursued & killed Jack Amador on the transition to Elysium. However, the likelihood is that he may have died naturally during the voyage.
