Hammerfist Clan Emblem

The Hammerfist Clan is one of the commoner clans of the Grand Kingdom of Urguan. They were created after an incident with the Ironguts, which banished some of their memebers because of unknown reasons. The exiled dwed then created their own clan and started serving the kingdom in any means neccessary. Although the incident has possibly left some of the Irongut members with a bitter taste in their mouth, most of them have no grudges after years of Hammerfist service to the kingdom.

History

Vailor

Founding

The Hammerfist Clan was born when Duren Irongut, tired of the disrespect he had received from his kinsmen decided to leave the clan with his brothers Farin and Magar and found the Hammerfist Clan.

First Frostbeard Rebellion

The Hammerfist Clan fought as a loyalist clan during The First Frostbeard Rebellion and rose to the attention of Grand King Skippy Irongut. Due to the new clan’s loyalty to the Kingdom they were granted a plot of land in Mantie Valley.

Kal’Khron

Soon the small plot of land at the side of the Mantie Valley became the clan’s first hold, Kal’Khron.

Death of Skippy Irongut

With the death of Grand King Skippy Irongut a new dwed was needed to fill the role of Grand King. Soon after, Duren Hammerfist was nominated by Demagol Doomforged for the position of Grand King. Many dwed were shocked when they found out Duren lost only by a few votes to Uldar Irongut.

Grand King Uldar “The Mad” Irongut

After Uldar Irongut’s victory over Duren Hammerfist in the election he quickly began to make questionable changes to the kingdom, one of them being the destruction of the Hammerfist hold Kal’Khron which angered many members of the Hammerfist Clan. Later when Uldar illegally left the kingdom to Gauldrim Irongut the Hammerfist clan supported Midgor Ireheart in removing him from office.

The Eighteen Years' War

The Hammerfist Clan making up a large portion of the Grand Legion suffered many casualties during the war wiping out the majority of the clan’s population as the war raged on. At the end of the war during the Siege of Fort Dunamis Duren Hammerfist disappears in the fighting. Presumed dead, the remaining Hammerfist elected Darek Hammerfist to be the clan’s second Clan Father.

Kaz’ad Khron

After the 18 Year’s War the Hammerfist clan was given back the lands where the former fortress of Kal’Khron stood. A small fort was erected in its place

Post-War Years

Ten years after the 18 Year’s War Duren returned from his disappearance and took back up control of the clan. After some bad decisions Duren Tried to Vassalize the Hammerfist clan under the Frostbeard Clan but when that failed he vassalized it under the Grandaxe Clan. Most of the Hammerfist Clan joined up with the Grandaxes but some fled in exile to re-establish the clan in the Dreadlands.

Axios

The Dreadlands-Axios

When the remnants of the Clan arrived in axios they built a small Clan Hall by the Norlandic Keep and worked together with the Norlanders to protect their lands.

The Fall of the Dreadlands

It was not long before the Dreadlands was attacked by the forces of Oren and their allies, and it was not long before they fell. Shortly after the fall the Clan returned to Urguan after Clan Father Darek Hammerfist was unbanished by Torvin Grandaxe.

The Slaughter of the Senate

Not long after the clan returned to Urguan the Frostbeard Clan illegally attempted to seize the Grand Kingdom. It started with the death of Bastion Ireheart that led to the Frostbeard Clan to attempt a Coup of the senate with the help mercenaries, in the conflict the senate was murdered along with the Hammerfist representative.

The Second Frostbeard Rebellion

The clan along with the other loyalist dwed fled to the Grandaxe hold of Tal’Azmar. In the city the dwed elected Gror Ireheart to be the next Grand King of Urguan and began the Second Frostbeard Rebellion.

The Execution of Kerwyr Frostbeard

It was not long before the city of Kal'Omith was taken back by the Grand Legion of Urguan and with it the surrender of Kerwyr Frostbeard. Shortly after Grand King Gror Ireheart forced the Frostbeard clan to behead Kerwyr Frostbeard and once again swear loyalty to the Grand Kingdom.

The Fall of Urguan

After another two uprisings from the Frostbeard Clan, Urguan was eventually defeated after Grand King Frerir Irongrinder cancelled the alliance with the Holy Orenian Empire. The Hammerfist Clan took refuge in the citadel of Arcadia.
