Elizaveta Juliya Dmitrievna (Common: Elizabeth Julia), mainly known and referred to as Elizabeth of Metterden, was the Duchess Consort of Haense as the wife of Peter I. There is little known of her life or her beginnings. She was the daughter of Dmitry Ruthern and Emma Klein, and sister to the twins Maric and Alric Ruthern. Her son, Andrik, was the second king of Haense following her husband. She was also the mother of princesses Tatiana Aleksandra and Juliya Katherine Barbanov.
Elizabeth, although often believed otherwise, was not the first Queen of Haense as she died before Haense became a kingdom under her spouse, Peter I of Haense. The title of first Queen of Haense would be given to her daughter-in-law, Reza of Turov. She never was able to see such, however, as she died in childbirth of her last child with Peter, Princess Tatiana, in 1567.
