She was primarily remembered for her work as Prefect-Castellan of New Providence and Vienne along with her martial skills in the Urguani-Orenian War and the subsequent Brothers' War. In 1867 she wed the Baron of Rivia, George Octavius Galbraith, thus making her the Baroness-consort. Additionally, later in 1869, she was afforded the County of Carolustadt and recognized as a peer of the newly reformed, Kingdom of Oren.

Biography

Adolescence Years; (1843 - 1861)

Born off the coast of Almaris, in the Free City of Ulyssa, Victoria was ferried off to Providence at the age of one by Sir Franz de Sarkozy. She spent her early formative years in the Augustine Palace where she warded under Lorina Othaman and Theodosia O'Rourke. In 1849, her parents had returned to the Holy Orenian Empire. Victoria was then soon moved to the Principality of Savoy by her mother in what came to be known as Operation Augustine. It was there Victoria bore witness to her father's claim to the imperial throne. Over the course of the next few days, her father had amassed a sizable army that marched on Providence to claim the throne. Victoria had traveled with the army during the march. She was spotted by several Orenians on Unity Bridge during the event where Sir Erik Othaman surrendered Providence over to Philip. Shortly thereafter, Philip ascended to the throne and was formally crowned days later by High Pontiff Everard VI. Following his coronation, Victoria ascended to the status of a member of the Imperial Household.

Marriage

George Octavius Galbraith

On the 10th of Owyn’s Flame, 1867, Victoria wed George Octavius Galbraith in the Basilica of Argentate Star. Their wedding had been long overdue as the pair had been betrothed since they were in their late teens. The ceremony and reception were held privately, with the bride and groom only allowing a few close friends and members of their respective houses to spectate the event. Those who were present described the wedding to be nothing of notable splendor and instead more modest in taste. It wasn't until the following year that their union was officially announced to the public in a missive entitled, Of Boar and Dragon. Furthermore, it was additionally announced that Victoria had given birth to a son, Charles Antonious Galbraith. Due to Charles's age by the time the missive was published, it left many to wonder if he was born out of wedlock.

The Brothers' War; (1868)

Following the death of Victoria's parents, the Empire was torn in half as two of Victoria's brothers vied for control over the Orenian throne. Her eldest brother, Peter Augustus sought to claim the Imperial throne as was his birthright while her younger brother, Frederick Charles sought to dissolve the Empire and reform it into the Kingdom with him as its monarch. Due to her political stance in believing the Empire was unworthy of its current title and her disdain towards many of the lords that supported Peter, Victoria chose to swear her loyalty to Frederick upon his initial conquest of the capital.

Throughout the war, Victoria led a small-scale campaign into the western territories of Oren with the support of the local lords of Halstaig, Rivia & St. Lothar. During her campaign dubbed The Arentanian Offensive, she led two raids on the Duchy of Azor and the County of Huntshill. Despite the majority of Imperialist forces congregating in Reutov and Vuillermoz, she was able to catch Imperial patrols off-guard. Several of these patrols were defeated and their leaders were dragged back to New Providence to stand trial.

Alongside her martial skills in leading several small victories against the Empire, Victoria additionally was pivotal in convincing and assisting several vassal lords to swear fealty to Frederick. This included the County of Halstaig, the County of Vanderfell, and the Baronetcy of Westfall.
