Joining the newly reformed Ruriksguard, Edward quickly rose through the ranks, though once reaching the rank of Marshal, he refused to take they vacant position, hence allowing Avalon Silversteed to take it. Not long after, in 1631, Javier Ruric knighted Edward due to his unmatched capabilities in combat and natural talent for command.
