Ramdir Ericks Amador the Second, also known as Ramdir the Reject by his detractors, was the Patriarch of the House of Amador following the death of his Mother, Sosina, Baroness of Mondstadt. A historically controversial figure, he is known for his wish to marry a common woman, to the dismay and ridicule of the House, only to be abandoned by the same common woman. He was, during his lifetime, titled 1st Viscount of Aurveldt.

Early Years

The Son of Aldrik Sigmund Baruch & Sosina Amador by a Matrilineal Marriage, arranged by Ruslan III Amador whilst he was the Patriarch of the House, Ramdir Ericks Amador was Born in 1795 at the Barony of Mondstadt.

Predominantly raised by his mother, Ramdir grew up to be groomed for the eventual leadership of the House and the Barony of Mondstadt, however, he suffered a tragedy during his late childhood / early teenage years, when his Mother, Sosina, Baroness of Mondstadt, during a trip to Valwyck, was stung by a bee and died shortly after of a severe allergic reaction and Anaphylactic shock. The reaction to the unexpected death of his mother and mentor was not mentioned in the histories, but it is likely that such a trauma had a deep and profound affect on Young Ramdir.

The Barclay Regency & Baron of Mondstadt

The Coat of Arms for the Viscounty of Aurveldt

As Ramdir was still a minor in the eyes of Haeseni Law, he required a regent to oversee the running of the House of Amador, until he came of age. Iyngrid Barclay vas Amador, the younger sister of Sosina Amador and High Seneschal of the Dual Koengzem of Haenseti-Ruska under Josef I of Haense, was designated the Regent of the House in a period of time known as the Barclay Regency. As the regent, Iyngrid Barclay was in charge of the education and upbringing of Ramdir, to prepare him for the role of Patriarch.

With the help of Iyngrid Barclay in her role as regent, the wider Amador Family and previous Amador contributions to Dual Koengzem of Hanseti-Ruska, Ramdir was elevated to the Viscommital title of Aurveldt by King Henrik II. The Coat of Arms for the House were edited to reflect this change, making the Silver Lorraine Cross an ostentatious Gold.

Viscount of Aurveldt

During the Barclay Regency, The House of Amador and a low-born House known as D’Airelle worked closely for the betterment of the the Dual Koengzem and both Houses. These included community events and fundraising for the Church of the Canon & the Dual Koengzem of Hanseti-Ruska. During these exchanges and events, the Young Baron of Mondstadt had set eyes upon Valentina D’Airelle, with whom Ramdir became love-struck.

Two years after having been elevated to the Viscount of Aurveldt and with the end of the Barclay Regency as a man grown, the Royal Court was filled with excited rumours of whom Ramdir would Marry, with the Noble Ladies of the Court and King Henrik II of Haense eagerly hypothesizing matches. It was, therefore, a great shock and scandal to the court in 1808 when the thirteen year-old Ramdir announced his intent to marry Valentina D’Airelle, a commonborn woman. The engagement announcement disillusioned the Noble Ladies of the Court & angered the King, who was ideologically opposed to the match on the grounds of a noble marrying a commoner.

The Marriage of the pair, however, did not take place, due to still being under a Regency. Facing the harsh scrutiny of the match by the public and pressure from the Haense nobility, Valentina D’Airelle abandoned the match also. The humiliation led to the Teenage Viscount's infamous moniker Ramdir the Reject, whilst his actions ostracized marred his standing in the Royal Court and among other potential suitors. This event becomes controversial historically as a historian's view on him is dependant on one's values; Either Ramdir II is viewed as a progressive, who attempted to merely marry the woman he loved, but was rejected by the society he lived in, or as a fool who allowed himself into a humiliating scenario. Three years Later, the Regency would end.

The event did not endear him to the wider House of Amador either. Family members of the time comment on how the House slowly became chaotic and dysfuntional after the Barclay Regency ended, with Ramdir unable to maintain a grip and authority as Patriarch of the House.

The Troll Wars

In the same year as the engagement of the marriage with Valentina D’Airelle, the Dual Koengzem of Hanseti-Ruska became embroiled in a conflict known as "The Troll Wars", after a military expedition led by the Lord Marshal, Manfred Barclay, later resulted in the Great Raid of Karosgrad by Rimetrolls / Trolls. For the next twenty-two years, the Dual Koengzem of Hanseti-Ruska would be embroiled in this conflict.

The Viscount Ramdir II, during this period, attempted to perform his patriotic duty by becoming Lord Treasurer of the Dual Koengzem, a role that he felt entitled to gain, as it was a role held by previous prominent Amadors. This arrogant approach to gaining the Aulic Council position not only failed but further disillusioned him from the Royal Court, who further began to view the Viscount of Aurveldt as a Liability that an Asset. Realizing his need to attempt to endear himself again with the Royal Court, he married Emma Arika Vyronov, however this did little to alleviate his dwindling reputation. He would later have two sons: Isaak & Karl.

He is thought to have done service during the Troll Wars and may have been responsible for the deaths of many soldiers of the Brotherhood of Saint Karl when he failed to prevent voidal mages using fire magic upon them, however, sources and testimonies around this event are currently lacking.

Unable to progress in Government or within the Military, alongside discontented pressuring from other family members, the Viscount Ramdir II abdicated as Viscount of Aurveldt and all other Amador Titles in favour of his two-year old son, Isaak Amador. Abandoning his Wife, Emma Arika Vyronov and going into self-imposed exile, it is believed by the Amadors that the ostracized Ramdir II went to learn more about the Arcane and later died in obsurity. His cause of death was unknown, but, as was customary of his rank, his bones were returned to Aurveldt for burial.
