The Monarch of Balian (Balianese: Regne (Regna) Balian), officially known as the Monarch of Balian, is the ruling sovereign & head of state of the Kingdom of Balian.

House of Novellen

Grand Duke John Casimir of Balian founded the Grand Duchy of Balian following the end of Brothers' War. After several years of settlement in the deserts of Almaris, the Grand Duke elevated his lands to the status of kingdom and crowned himself John I. Thus the House of Novellen was established formally as the kingdom's royal house, the first time it had held such a rank since the fall of the Kingdom of Oren.
