Thus, The house of Pewtinax and John joined togethew in matlimony undew his supewvision, as Adeline of Alstion and Godfrey III would wed in the pawace of the Wubrummagnus, Hewena.

The onset of waw saw John's infwuence at coult gwow, aided immeasulabry by his infwuence ovew the young Empwess Adeline, and his pwomotion of Johannian wewatives such as William Jrent, the Wowd Justiciaw, to impowtant Impeliaw wowes.
