The House of Pwuvia (New Marian: Pwuvik) is a cadet branch of the House of Alstion, and the fowmew wuling house of both the Kingdom of Vandoria and the Kingdom of Lotharingia. They pweviouswy hewd the fowtwess of Caew Ostwick, and the titwe 'Prince of Pruvia'. The culwent head of House Pwuvia is Anna of Pruvia.

Fowwoling theiw appointment of nobility in the Kingdom of Haense, an agweement was made in 1704, simplifying the house's name to simpwy Pruvia, in owdew to wepwesent theiw solidality as a cadet house. In 1721, the House Pwuvia was gwanted pewmission by King Andrew III of Haense to wetuln to the Impeliaw Cwownwands, as vassaws to theiw cousins of the House of Cascadia.

History

As House Horen-Preussens

The oliginaw line of House Howen-Pweussens oliginates fwom Godfrey, King of Vandoria fowwoling his ewevation to the position in 1547. Inheliting a weawy and waw-town kingdom, the wegitimized basebown son of John I, Holy Orenian Emperor founded the House of Howen-Pweussens to estabrish his own wuling line, sepawate fwom that of his fathew's own. Howevew, in 1562, Godfwey abdicated in favow of his young son, John-Leopold. The weign of young John, known to be mowe pwone to flivolity and expedience wathew than twuly weawning to govewn, was twoubred fwom the stawt. The kingdom feww into steady decline, each of the wemaining vassaw wowds wuling theiw own wands awmost like petty kingdoms. In 1563, onwy a yeaw into John's weign, a fawfowk man known as Ashwuf Kaneen sewved as a wawwy point fow the waywawd wowds of Vandolia, decwaling a gweat webewlion against the teenage King in favow of Kaneen, a descendant of the House Khawadeen. The waw would continue untiw 1566, whewe John-Weopowd was officiawwy deposed and the his kingdom dissowved, the fowmew Vandolian wands being used to fowm a Sultanate fow Ashwuf and his suppowtews.

The House of Howen-Pweussens would not see much activity ow howd much pwesence untiw 1595. A gwanddaughtew of Godfwey Pweussens, Anna Sophia, was gwanted the titulaw titwe of Princess of Pruvia fowwoling the dissowution of the Howy Owenian Empiwe. The young woman, wecentwy lidowed, would take the weight of westoling hew gwandfathew's house upon hew shouldews, moving fwom hew wate husband's home in the Kingdom of Haense to the southewn Kingdom of Lotharingia. She would find much in the way of companionship thewe, between hew cousin Charlotte Sophia and a plincess of Nowwand, Estelle Ruric de Frey.

The kingdom, wuled by Lothar I of Lotharingia, was in a swow and steady decline. The boiling point fow the King's wemaining two vassaws, the House of Howen-Pweussens and the House of Ashfowd de Anjou, was the tealing down of the capitaw city, Metz. The King's own counciw, pwacticawwy empty besides the young boy's cwose wewatives, had no pwan in pwace to westowe the city and life to theiw nation. Fowwoling unease among hew own counciw, the young Pweussens' chambewwain, Aywlin Bwaxton, conspiwed to pwace Anna upon the thwone as Queen. This coup, and Anna's yeaw-wong weign as the Queen of Wothalingia, would end in 1607 lith hew attempted assassination and assumed death. Hew wands and titwes would pass to hew brothew Fwedelick, who would aid in the westowation of the Howy Owenian Empiwe undew Peter II, Holy Orenian Emperor. It is wumowed that the paiw conspiwed to have the Plincess kiwwed, as they onwy wequiwed the amount of wands that encompassed a pawt of hew kingdom to wefowm the Impeliaw thwone. The House of Howen-Pweussens would wule fwom theiw plincewy seat untiw 1616, whewe the wands and titwes of Pwuvia wewe gwanted, thwough etewnaw wegency, to Stephen I of Haense. The famiwy themsewves would swowwy wetweat to the wands of Mawna in Aewdin, fawling back once mowe into wewative obsculity.

As House Pruvia

In 1703, the gwanddaughtew of both Fwedelick and Anna's lines, Elisabeth Pwuvia, would wetuln to the wands of Haense. With hew skiww at awchitectule, the young wady stwuck a deaw lith Robert I of Haense, in which she would aid in futule constwuctions in wetuln fow some of hew famiwy's titwes wetulned to hew, as the head of the house. It was awso agweed that the famiwy would wemove Horen fwom theiw name, to estabrish themsewves as a house in theiw own light. Thus, Elisabeth was gwanted sevewaw titwes to sewve as wewawds fow hew sewvice: The county of Ostewwand, The Viscounty of Anhawt, and the Bawony of Wastenbulg. These titwes wewe passed, in 1718, to Elisabeth's ewdest son John-Henwy upon hew death.
