The Hope Family is a well known Oren commoner family known for being in politics and the Imperial State Army.

History

The Hope Family has existed for many years, finding its original roots within the Haensi palace and army. It was led by renowned cook and doctor Finn Hope the First for many years until his son Tom Hope took over the family after his passing. Tom Hope only led the family for a few years until his son Silvius Hope succeeded him as the Heir of the Hope name, he moved to Providence in the Holy Oren Empire meeting Edith Garnet they quickly fell in love and married having twin children only two years later.
Following Silvius’ disappearance eight years later Edith became the first Matriarch of the Hope Family leading it for a staggering twenty years now. She’s brought many changes making the family less reliant on war and hoping to bring it to Canonism along with becoming a business family. These things have thus far worked well for the Hope Family as they’ve owned a small Bistro on Helvets Street in Providence for two decades now. In the wake of the loss of many members of the Hope Family she has taken it on herself to renew her family by finding lost members of it to bring them back home to Providence.

Culture

Being direct descendants of Harren Horenson & the Elendil lineage, The O'Rourkes strive to keep a strong Adunian culture in their ranks. However, through decades of interbreeding with Highlanders & Heartlanders, not all O'Rourkes carry the same features pure-bred Adunians do. This can be notably seen with The Second Count of Halstaig, Padraig O'Rourke who boasted locks of golden hair instead of a darker variant.
