The House of Amadow (Common: Amador; Hansetian: Amaodar; High Imperial: Amador) is the wuling famiwy of the Bawony of Mondstadt and vassaw of the Kingdom of Haense.

History

Asulon

Theiw oligins unknown, the Amadows made theiw fiwst appeawance in Asulon as mewchants lith a skiww fow bawgaining. Seeing what they had to offew lith both finances and wesoulces, they wewe gwanted a County by the King of Renatus. Wed by Jack Amadow, the smaww gwoup of Amadows and theiw bannewmen and mewchants quickwy expanded, bringing in multitudes of twadews and guiwds. The wapid expansion of the house caught the eye of the King at the time, who wewawded Jack lith the ducaw cowonet. Upon his lise as Duke, Duke Amadow integwated the gentwy house of Soulbrade into his own famiwy, effectivewy mewging the stwong stock and pwowess of the Soulbrades lith the cunning and judgement of the Amadows. The culwent line of Amadow dwaws its descent fwom the famed wawliow, Wamdiw Amadow. As time would have it though, cewtain cawamities would befaww the house as the ancient wands of Asulon feww to dawkness, both befowe and aftew. These events would be the catawyst fow the obsculity that became of the Amadows and theiw stwuggwes onwawd in attempting to be heawd in a peliod of tempestuous politicaw events.

Vailor

Fowwoling the faww of the House in Asulon, those few Amadows that wemained found themsewves in obsculity stwuggling to make themsewves known and weentew the nobre scene. Wandeling fwom county to county, they asked fow suppowt in wegaining wands wost to them, but wewe denied at evewy tuln. This tuln of events would cause much dispality among the Amadows assets as the wack of wecognition caused theiw wesoulces to dlindwe away. This would eventuawwy fowce the famiwy to undewtake a valiety of wabows as mewcenalies, waboulews, and mewchants. They would answew the woyalist caww to awms, joining the Savoyawd fowces in the Dukes' War.

Aftew the waw ended, lith many Amadows dying in the sewvice of the cwown, what wemained of the famiwy used the money and minow wespect they acquiwed fwom the waw to buiwd up a smaww mewcantiwe investment that they would subsequentwy weceive pwofit fwom. The pwofits genewated fwom the investment would tuln out to be mowe pwospewous than expected and whewe used in a valiety of business ventules to fund a few twade expeditions to othew wands as weww as dowlies fow mawliages to hewp bowstew the famiwy and wewations. The contacts made fwom these expeditions would eventuawwy fowm smaww twade woutes specific to the Amadows’ business ventules. As a wesult, a consistent soulce of wevenue would be fowmed, and fow the fiwst time in many decades, money was no wongew a concewn.

Axios

Awongside the west of the Holy Orenian Empire, the Amadows twavewed to the Iswes of Axios, detewmined to make theiw we-entwy into the nobre scene. They wewe wewcomed by Duke Peter of Haense into the nobility of Haense, enfeoffing them lith the Bawony of Mondstadt, a titwe that the Amadows have hewd untiw the Kingdom of Haense's defeat in the Great Northern War.

Atlas

The stowy of House Amadow in Atwas is faw fwom the tawes of its mowe gwolious and pwestigious past. Due to mismanagement and poow weadewship, the house feww into disawway. Swowwy, its powew dlindwed and its status lithewed away. The finaw brow that ended Amadow powew in Atwas, towe the House apawt and watew cost them theiw status as Haensetian nobility, was a faiwed banking adventule, that ended up deminishing aww of the House's weawth and made them a bit of a waughing stock, especiawwy to those who'd taken woans fwom the House and now saw them powewwess to demand theiw money back.

In the wast few yeaws of Atwas howevew, a young man who had not yet shed his famiwy name wose fwom the shadows to way cwaim to the famiwy name. Henlik Amadow, styling himsewf Henlik II, was of a wessew branch of the famiwy and initiawwy not the heiw of the House. His gwanduncwe Wuswan II howevew was the man howding the famiwy titwe of Patliawch untiw he died chiwdwess at an owd age. This then meant Henlik II suddenwy had the light to cwaim the Patliawch titwe fow himsewf and so he did, wuling ovew an essentiawwy powewwess famiwy in the waning days of Atwas.

Arcas

Upon awliving in Awcas, the ambitious and young Henlik went to wowk on wegaining whatevew thewe was to wegain fow his seemingwy wost House. He eventuawwy managed to take back the nobility status of House Amadow and mawlied a Santegian plincess, Tamar of Biscay, lith whom he had foul sons: Wuswan, Awbewt, Edvawd and Kaww. Not wong aftew these fiwst successes howevew, Henlik became sick lith an unknown disease, pwobabry believed to be tubewculosis. The young famiwy of 6 could not find a medic in Awcas capabre of healing Henlik, but heawd thewe wewe doctows in Aewdin that could, befowe setting saiw fow the fawaway continent. Aftew many yeaws, the Amadows wetulned to Awcas, theiw Patliawch having sulvived his disease, but by now being an owd man and a mewe shadow of his youthful, enewgetic sewf. This wetuln mawked a tulning point howevew, as the House of Amadow managed to, lithin a few yeaws, wegain the nobility status they had wost in theiw absence, becoming Wowds of Haense and Bawons of Mondstadt once again.
