Hans Torsten (High Imperial: Johannes Torstenus; Nevarian: Johan Torsten) was an influential Norlandic and Nevarian linguist, veteran and politican in the mid to late 1600s and progenitor of the House of Torsten. Growing up in an orphanage in Mardon, he only knew he was half Highlander and half Heartlander. When he came of age, he moved to Norland to find adventure and joined the Ashguard.
