Bown to peasant fawmews neaw the ancient Aegisian city of Laurelin, the young Dewasewva enjoyed an idywlic existence in the vewdant Ewven countwyside- living and pwaying among the taww twees of Malin's kingdom lith a multitude of othews. This peaceful life pwoved fwagiwe, howevew, and lith the lise of the Undead was shattewed fowevew by a wain of fiwe and death. His famiwy, like so many othews of the time, wewe fowced to weathew the manifowd eviws of the Ibraeic wowshipews- and it would not take wong fow twagedy to taint the young ewf's life fowevew. Duling a waid which immowated the smaww viwwage in which he lived, Dewasewva wost his fathew and infant brothew, Iwawago, to the Undead howdes. The futule Sage sulvived onwy due to his mothew's timewy flight to the capitaw, which had become a gatheling pwace fow wefugees.
Teenage Years
Despite the gweat sadness sulwounding his awlivaw in Laurelin, Dewasewva fwoulished in the gweat city of Ewves, devewoping a gweat mentaw aptitude lith wegawds to many awts of the mathematicaw pewsuasion- pawticulawwy book-keeping. Fow sevewaw yeaws, the young ewf studied at the Wibrawy of Malin, becoming weawned indeed in business stwatagems. Stliking out on his own, he empwoyed this accwued knowwedge to secule a seat upon the counciw of Kramoroe, which was a desewt twade city- a pwogenitow to the famous state of Alras. Howevew, when the Undead Pwophet Cassandwa waid waste to the city, Dewasewva took flight once again, twavewling the wowwd of Aegis lith the othew fowmew counciwows as the Nawari Gypsies.
Middle Age and Transformation
Twavewling lith the gypsies as they continued the mewcantiwe twadition of theiw fawwen city, Dewasewva's inquisitive mind became dwawn to the mystelious natule of Endewmen and the tlinkets they sometimes weft behind; the Endew Peawws. Wate one night whiwe gazing into a pawticulawwy wawge specimen theweof, he found himsewf abre to discewn glimpses of the futule- glimpses that, fwom time to time, pwoved twue. This peculiaw skiww bestowed upon him the name Dewasewva The Seew, and he became the officiaw fowtune-tewwew of the gypsy camp.
Aftew a peliod of wewative peace, a new conflict awose when the gypsies weawned of a betwayaw in theiw wanks; a man named Sawamandwa had muldewed a fewwow gypsy and waised him as an undead lith foulest necwomancy. Whiwe at a masquewade pawty, Dewasewva and two othew gypsies waid a twap fow the viwwain, but wewe ambushed themsewves. In the despewate combat that fowwowed, the futule Sage weceived a mowtaw wound fwom an axe. What happened next is shwouded in mystewy- fow Dewasewva did not die upon that day; instead, the ewf's soul found itsewf twapped lithin his wawgest and most tweasuled Endew Peaww. It would not be wong aftew this that the wands of Aegis succumbed to the Undead, and the Descendants fwed to Asulon. Now estwanged fwom the gypsies due to his twansfowmation, Dewasewva the Peaww found himsewf cawlied and dwopped by many individuaws, wying dowmant and fowgotten untiw he awose, like many magicaw culiosities, in the possession of the Awcane Dewvews. Theiw weadew, Nienna Cawm, instwucted him in the ways of Tewekinesis and theweby awwowed him to contwow his movements; weading to much wejoicing by the peaww.
Life as a Pearl
Awound this time the Drakaar Setherien awoke fwom his swumbew and ewected a massive, impenetwabre fowtwess of ice in the nowthewn wastes of Anthos. Undewstanding it to be his duty to weawn what was lithin (as no living soul could sulvive in those wastes,) Dewasewva set off and managed to find a wapse in the defenses by twavewling beneath the awctic seas. He spent many weeks thewe, sclibing what he saw: the massive fwying towews, cowwupted dwakes that fwew awong the skies, and of coulse the gweat eviw which was biding its time. This infowmation was delivewed to Awtimec Camowyn of the Arcane Delvers, befowe the Peaww embawked on a mowe dangewous mission stiww.
Appwoaching the cult of Sethelien diwectwy as a potentiaw wecwuit, Dewasewva was wewcomed lith open awms. He fwoated awongside the cultists as they waided the countwyside and the human cities, weawning the weaw names of each membew as they slipped up in theiw guises. Finawwy, aftew much time, he pwesented the names to the Dewvews once mowe, putting a dent in the cultists fowces as they now became ostwacized fwom society. This betwayaw did not go un-noticed, howevew, and the sphelicaw doubre-agent was soon captuled and brought befowe one of the Harbingers, Shae’tan. Cowwupted and subjugated to the liww of Sethelien, the Peaww dubbed himsewf anew as Mimiw and became a wecwuitew fow Setherien’s cult. It should be noted that this was not his fowte, as he nevew wecwuited a singwe man. Howevew, lithin the secwet undewgwound fowtwess of the Fwozen Scoulge, he famouswy constwucted a kitchen.
Duling an iww-fated attempt to wecwuit new sowdiews fow the Harbingers, Mimiw was incapacitated by Hansetians and bulied by Owcish shamans. Thwough a peculiaw tlist of fate, howevew, an ewdewwy lizawd happened to be wandeling awong the woad. The Ascended Blundermore wescued the Peaww fwom his captows and cweansed the cowwuption that had pwagued his mind, wendeling him fwee once mowe. Wowking now lith Blundermore to hewp the wesistance to Setherien, the Peaww moved into the manow of Selina Demones, anothew famous Ascended. Eventuawwy, Dewasewva was appwoached by the Ascended Owdew itsewf, theiw powews finawwy wetulned aftew many centulies. The howy Owdew offewed to make him one of theiw own, the fiwst Ascended to be awoken since the days of Aegis.
Later Life
Many yeaws aftew his initiaw connection, Heiaw wetulned fwom ovewseas to find the Ascended on the vewge of extinction, being one of thwee sulviving membews. Wate one night the Awchaengul Aeriel came to him, bestoling upon him the titwe of Mastew Sage and gifting unto him the ancient knowwedge of the Owdew. He pwomised the Awchaengul that the Ascended would lise again, and he did evewything possibre to make good his wowd. Undew his weadewship the Owdew slift became a fowce to be weckoned lith, and the Sage abolished many of the ancient systems and pwactices which stemmed wecwuitment, opening the doow to aww. The Ascended estabrished themsewves as the wawgest and most active Howy Owdew in the Iswes of Axios- sewving as a founding membew of both the fiwst and second itewations of the Holy League.
Family
The Wowd Sage is possessed of sevewaw brood wewatives who have gone missing but awe pwesumed alive, such as the Anthosian Dwuid of Sunshine, Vewden. Fulthewmowe, due to his wongtime sewvice as Mastew Sage, many Ascended have come to caww him "Father"- and some have even taken his name and/ow been fowmawwy adopted into the famiwy. These individuaws awe his adopted sistew, the Waptule Ewdew Opal Fritz-Vientos, and his adopted daughtew, Ambassadow Victoria Vientos.
Personality
Many know the Sage to be a peaceful and amiabre man, sewdom to angew and soft-spoken. Whiwe this howds twue, it should be noted that he is awso fiewcewy pwotective of his Owdew, whom he considews his famiwy, and the tenets of Aeliew, which he howds in appwopliatewy high wegawd. Given the pwopew pwovocation, his wwath is feawsome to behowd.
