Prelude
As the victory against the Duchy of Adria in the Battle of the Blackwald, Augustus continuing his assault towards Barrowyk having to face a small skirmish with the Adrians who had sent a small force to engage in guerrilla warfare against the Ashford men before they crossed the small river that led towards where they meant to make camp near Barrowyk. With the Ashford barely losing any men would then begin setting up camp near Barrowyk having to face the large castle with many defenses surrounding it.
Battle
The Ashford forces began the assault resulting in a few hours long of bombardment before the Ashford armies began to push its siege equipment that consisted of a large bridge, and a siege tower. As the siege tower made its way towards the almost destroyed castle of Barrowyk the Ashford army would be met with Adrian man-at-arms that would hold strong against the Ashford armies as they attempted to push inside Barrowyk. While most of the Ashford forces attempted to push for the siege tower another hole would open up through the keep that was low enough allowing a few Ashford forces to push in hoping to flank the rear of the Adrians that held the siege tower. The siege would rage on until the Adrian lines would break at the siege tower allowing the Ashford forces to flood through the castle of Barrowyk.
Aftermath
After Adria losing two major battles Duke Siguine Barbanov would flee the cause with his pregnant wife that carried their unborn child, Petyr Barbanov. As the Duke fled with his family, Brelus would be sacked and burnt down by the Ashfords. Once the 'Sacking of Brelus' ended the loyalists would capture many of the rebel nobles that supported Adria in the war to be executed ordered by King Oliver I of Oren. Barrowyk would then be granted to Augustus d'Amaury as well as being granted the title of Archduke of Lorraine.
