Augustus Horen, regally known as Augustus I (1656 – 1715) of the House of Horen was the second ruler of the Empire of Man (1694-1706) due to his grandfather's abdication on the 16th of Amber Cold, 1694. He wed his younger sister Helen Horen, an act considered a taboo among most Descendant cultures and a crime in the Church of the Canon. Augustus was also implicated in the Varoche Affair, accusing him of fathering two bastard children on his other sister, Alexandria Horen.
