The Siege of Southbridge was a decisive siege battle that occurred during the Urguani-Orenian War that saw the Tripartite Accord besiege and storm the Castle of Southbridge. It is widely considered the largest battle on Almaris to date, beating the Battle of Outer Arentania which previously held the title.

Prelude

The Tripartite Accord drafted siege plans to invade the Holy Orenian Empire. The combined Tripartite armies from Urguan, Haense and the Ferrymen established a siege camp outside of Southbridge, laying siege to the port-side citadel. The Tripartite wished to siege Southbridge so that they could take the strategically valuable location and use it to cut off Orenian trade, travel, and troop movements. A garrison of 8,600 Imperial State Soldiers were garrisoned at Southbridge at the beginning of the siege. At the war camp to the South-East of Southbridge, the Tripartite set up trebuchets to besiege the fortress.

Over the course of a few days, the castle was broken and fell while embroiled in conflict, the triumphant Tripartite Accord taking control of Southbridge and its neighboring territory.
