Biography

Early Life

Louis grew up in the city of Rosnia, the capital of their Principality before they fled their old contient and settled on Atlas, he grew very promient in the art of combat, and diplomacy having been able to outsmart everyone he fought with, he proved to be a suitable heir to the throne, at the mere age of five, the land of which he currently settled upon has faced with a dread plague, having wiped out almost the entire population, Louis being one of the few hundreds to not be diagosed, boarded ships and fled with hopes of finding a new land of which where they would be able to call home. Upon arrival of Atlas, he quickly ordered his Regent, to send letters out to independant lands, only a few answered, He went to see them all, and struck a deal with the House of Nria, having both sides agree to suitable terms, Rosenyr would take the Nria's capital and build it in their own image, while the Nria's would be granted a large ploy of land and have the Rosenyr builders construct them a powerful fortress, this would mark the offical beginning of Louis I reign.

Marriage

Louis would, after landing upon Atlas arrange a betrothal between himself and a young Princess of Rosenyr, belonging to the cadet branch des Rosiers (translated to House of Roses in the common tongue, referring to the Rosiere Rose). As time went on and the royal palace began to look more and more like a prestigious palace fit for a ruler like Louis. The two would spend more and more time together in the top floors of the palace and in the garden. The two would eventually finalize their marriage and get married in the Royal Palace of Pessac, the marriage was a two day celebration featuring much drinking in the tavern and partying in the court square. The marriage between Louis and the des Rosiers girl was, perhaps one of the most joyous occasions for the Rosnian folk since their landing on Arcas.

Reign

Prince of Rosenyr

A month later plans were almost near completion, Louis would then hold numerous court sessions with the intent of getting more farmiliar with his subjects, the common folk, who of which was Louis's target to befriend the most, as he wanted to have a healthy relationship with all, and be beloved by all his subjects. He then alongside his short reigned regent managed to begin a new era for the Rosnian people. Although the city was not complete on the set time, the people still prospered. Following the completion of the city, numerous minor lords pledged allegiance to the new Principality. Nothing happened to Louis for numerous years, until recieving word that one of his vassals in the Duchy of Northwatch had broken their vows, and pledged allegiance to the Earldom of Nordengrad, of course Louis was frusterated at the time, but not wanting to provoke a war with the Empire of Man, he alongside his brother, Hugh, and all his council made a decision to allow the Forresters to go to the Earldom, without any issues from the Principality. Instead they turned their focus to the construction of the walls of Pessac, paying a large sum of money to lumberers, miners, and farmers. This construction was a long and daring one, often seeing many death and often desertion from the Rosnian builders corps, causing for many riots to happen within the capital city of Pessac, prompting for many need of reforms for the nation.

Tensions with Renatus

The sudden arrival and flood of Rosnian people alongside the borders of the imperials, brought much disarray in the Renatian court prompting for their decision to send a few patrols into the Rosnian countryside to see what their folk was like, these patrols were noticed by the Rosnian guards. Allowing for Rosnenyr to arm their forces incase of an impending siege, this causing for some unrest in the Rosnian military after the no show of the Empire. Since then the nation of Rosenyr and Renatus had numerous conflicts of religion and bordering terriotories, no conflict occurred between the two but it often kept both sides ready incase of any attack from the other.

Civil Unrest and Abdication

The Rosnian people began to grow tired of the lack of leadership Louis was showing, often found hiding in his room or in seclusion with his court. Many of the vassals began to lose faith in this new bastion against the Empire and started to betray and go against the Principality, forcing Louis to mobilize the Rosnian military to put down the numerous uprisings occurring across the Rosnian countryside. This did little to improve the relations with the Rosnians as they saw Louis as a prince willing to murder his own people with ease. Numerous riots occurred in Pessac in celebration of Prince Louis's birthday, during the riot it was rumored that Prince Louis slipped in a puddle of mud, causing for an eruption of laughter to occur in the crowd, and constant heckling of Prince Louis and his family.

Prince Louis had at this point in his rule had reached the breaking point and installed a regent to rule in his stead whilst he toured the countryside, this regent was his own brother Hugh de Rosiere, who worked long and hard to ensure relations between the crown and the people were improved, it then resulted in Hughs resignation of the position to the young knight Jacques Sauvageot, who ruled ambitiously, and often told to be rather cruel. Louis heard news of this and realized the hopelessness of the situation and abdicated his throne to whomever was elected by the common folk.

Death

Louis, after abdicating his throne left his entire family vulnerable to schemes and assassination attempts. Hugh de Rosiere, Louis's younger brother took up arms in Rosenyr after the tyrannical take over of Jacques, much blood was spilt between the Rosiere and Sauvageot blood was spilt until Hugh withdrew his raids in Rosenyr due to lack of manpower to continue. Louis sat back in hiding as he heard constant news from his couriers of the daily fighting tearing Rosenyr apart, until a sudden midnight raid on the camp Louis was staying in, Louis and his wife were both slain in their tent and were rumored to be paraded around the encampment whilst it was burned to the ground.
