Biography

Early life

Valgarai Kenyatta was born 1639 to the prestigious tribe of Okarachi, he had a fairly normal childhood - being raised in a village named Lakavo upon Axios during the Third Crusade. His tribe ventured to Atlas while he was only aged 4, limiting his knowledge to Axios and its various regions. Valgarai lived a fairly peaceful life, enjoying many of the customs shared by his tribe and the neighboring M'baku tribe; which historically shared blood with the Okarachi.

Enslavement

It was not until, at the young age of 16 - that Valgarai was captured by a desert bandit group during his pilgrimage through the desert, and was eventually sold into slavery at the hands of the Orcs. Valgarai served as an enslaved person for 8 years under the Lak Clan, specifically Puknaak before his ascension to the Rex. He served loyally, making many attempts to escape but ultimately failing and having his will broken. He had served willfully, holding no knowledge of his lands or people during his enslavement. It was not until 1663, at the age of 24, that he was bought out by Juumane M'Baku who had hopes of recruiting people to build up the then-new nation of Ghanyah. Although a slave, he held much knowledge on diplomatic affairs . He took time to learn the history of the desert and the Ghanwua Peoples, eventually becoming a good confidant and overall paternal figure of Juumane. With Valgarais extensive knowledge, diplomatic experience, exceptionally old age, and history of serving Rex's - he became Juumanes first Advisor; eventually holding the title Advisor-Regent, although still technically in servitude - during his stay in Ghanyah, Valgarai secretly began to practice magic.

Advisor

Alongside his first Advisor Valgarai, Juumane formed the Chieftaincy of Ghanyah on the 2nd of Snow’s Maiden, 1662. Valgarai served Juumane at many times reluctantly, the young ruler expressing many imperialistic views that Valgarai stood against - although the ruler seldom listened to Valgarai's advise. He sought to dignify and preserve all the various aspects of Farfolk culture by creating separate cities dedicated to each large cultural group ; the subjugation of Kharmandal was a basis for a Subudai city, the creation of Yeondar served as an Easterner division of trade, and he also desired the neighboring Kadarsi Sultanate to serve as a Rasdom devoted to the Qalasheen; this lead to his famous ‘Rite of Usurpation’ reluctantly written in 1670 by Valgarai. This led to Juumane, accompanied with his Advisor-Regent Valgarai and Commander Zyrrin began an array of hostilities against the Kadarsi Tribe and Sultanate of Haria; they officially declared war in 1671 with The Kingdom of Nottingham and Warnation of Krugmar called in as co-belligerent allies. In light of warcrimes commited during the war, Valgarai led a governmental take over on 10th of Grand Harvest 1672. With Valdun as the reigning Regent of Ghanyah, he demoted all members of Juumanes previous administration aswell as Commander Zyrrin. He eventually formed a 'Crown Council' of his own personal advisors on the 12th of First Seed, 1672. With the government completely in his control, and his betrayal remaining secret - Valgarai made desperate attempts to end the war against the Kadarsi Sultanate. During this time, Valgarai was often seen as a paternal figure to Juumane, which hid his coup from the public. With Krugmar pushed out of the desert, the Ghanyans were surrounded by enemies which heavily changed the chances of them winning. Melesse Alem Zewedu, the Advising Commander under Valgarai' Crown Council, met with the Harians to sue for peace in Markev on the 11th of Deep Cold, 1673. Ultimately, a peace with the Harians failed. Out of fear of siege, the Crown Council voted to move the capital to Yeondar; rendering the M'Baku tribe powerless without their official seat of power. Later that same year, Juumane died under suspicious circumstances at the young age of eighteen - Heirless, power transferred to his younger half-brother Iýsakye; who was born of Juumanes matrilineal line, of the Ọkarachi Tribe. Despite his desperate attempts at keeping everything in order, the Ghanyans eventually lost the war - many events following the lost leading to its inevitable disbandment.

Reigning

After the disbandment of Ghanyah, it was Valgarai's initial plan to flee from the area and return back to Krugmar, but it is rumored that a vision appeared that oddly encouraged him to remain in the north and establish stronghold for his remaining people. This led to him, along with other Ras', starting the Rasdom of Melle. As the leader of this new state, the Rakshasa of Mèllè, Valgarai took up the regnal name of Kalfu - leading with an iron fist. Eventually, it was announced he’d died and Mèllè’s succession progressed. Fifty years had passed, and the descendants had moved to the Arcas continent before it was announced in 1736 that he was still living. After some time, it was revealed that Valgarai actually did die and that a man by the name of Erasto was his son, albeit a bastard by noble views but the concept of legitimacy was foreign to the Zailu tribe : if you had a son, he was undoubtably yours.

Direct Lineage

That of Kalfu's direct lineage lives in the House of Sulyne, through Erasto I, Suldaan of the Southeron and Seyam. Due to his tenure as the Mellean leader, the people of Seyam see him as a great ruler and important figure in their history towards Kingdom-hood.
