Kal'Ordholm in Athera.


Kal'Ordholm is one of the dwarven cities, commonly known as the second port of the kingdom. Although a dwarven city, Kal'Ordholm was known to have non-dwarven societies in it, which is not suprising as the main leader and the creator of Kal'Ordholm was Ioannis Grandaxe, a known wood elf allied with Urguan. Before the Oren-Urguan war, it was known to be a placeof prosperity in all matters, from mounts to weapons. After the war however, the towns economy has weakened, but the local dwedmar of the area are gicing an effort in reviving the culture of Kal'Ordholm.

History

Athera

Kal'Ordholm was founded in Athera by Ioannis Grandaxe, Algoda Frostbeard and Bart Irongut in the Northren Athera. After the war with Oren, Kal'Ordholm was relocated east of Kal'Akash. The town was used by lumberjacks and non-dwarves. Algoda Frostbeard established his smithy there to provide tools.

Vailor

In the new lands of Vailor, the town was remade by Ioannis Grandaxe and became the industrial home of the dwarves. Being close to the sea while protected by mountains, the town prospered for many years. The town attracted most of the non-dwarves of Urguan.The Edict guild later on called Kal'Ordholm their home.The town got most of its economy from the farmlands that occupied most of it. During the war between the Orenian Empire and the Kingdom of Urguan, Kal'Ordholm was besieged. Most of the homes were destroyed and many abandoned the town. The town continued to exist as a ghost of its former self until the destruction of Vailor

Geography

Kal'Ordholm is a coast town, from Athera to Vailor. Although it was in a good position for trade, Kal'Ordholm in Vailor was truly in an advance position. Both close to the dwarven docks and enclosed within mountains and the ocean. The war importance of it was truly shown during the Oren-Urguan war, as the forces in that area managed to defend themselfs for the second time against the Oren forces.

  • Ioannis Grandaxe - One of the known Dunamis leaders that has been allied with the Grand Kingdom of Urguan for many years.

Government

The town was ruled by a Jarl and his council.
