The House of Rosius (Common: Rosius; Auvergnian: Rosius; High Imperial: Rosius) is an Auvergnian house founded upon the marriage of Philip de Rosius-O'Rourke and Maria Darkwood, it's members have sworn loyalty to the Holy Orenian Empire. The Rosius are famous for their activity in politics and serving the Crown by working in many of its institutions. Throughout its time, House de Rosius has produced marriage unions with House Darkwood, House Halcourt & House de Frand.

History

Arcas

The family and its name begun when Philip de Rosius-Rourke, bastard child of Padrick O'Rourke, married Maria Darkwood, the daughter of Velhun Darkwood. Their families weren't noble at the time of their marriage so the newlywed couple had to somehow feed themselves and their children, they were famous as traders in the nearby regions and had few caravans and employees at the height of their business.

As the number of their children increased to eleven each was seen as rather different than its brothers and sisters, everyone had their own interest in different activities. The parents were often away from home on trading journeys so Valent, their second-born son, took care of his siblings. As Arcas went in flames and the realm was destroyed the family moved onto the next realm with their relatives.

Almaris

Many of the relatives of the family settled in Providence, the new capital of the Holy Orenian Empire and so the Rosius followed them. The couple continued taking care of their children and business in the year 1800 they left the city onto their trading journey and we're never seen again, it was accepted by all their relatives and children that they were ambushed by bandits and thus killed.

The second-born son, Valent took on the title of first patriarch of the family and cemented the Rosius name as it was seen by most as a distant branch of Rourkes, with the help of his older brother Abolios they took care of their younger siblings and their upbringing. Abolios and his younger brother started serving the Crown under different institutions, the adventurous Valent was bored of the city life and his duties so he went on an exploration of the continent. Upon his return his younger brother Otis had won the local elections and thus was serving as Alderman, it was then when Valent got promoted to Attorney-General in the newly rebranded Ministry of Justice which he joined before.

As every day passed the family grew in power holding three of the seven seats in the City Assembly, respectable positions in the Ministries of Oren, and other electable offices such as Speaker of the City Assembly of Providence, a position which Valent won in 1815. The family continued onto the political stage with new faces - as the younger siblings joined while the older ones retired, once again having over the City Assembly. The year 1818 was successful as Otis de Rosius was successfully elected as Mayor, thus marking an Rosius Dominance over the City of Providence.
