The House de Ardennes is a Heartlander house, formerly known as House of Haverlock which was a cadet branch of House de Joannes, traditionally the ruling house of Sedan. It was formed by Léon Henri, Count of Talentine (Formerly Haverlock). His House still settled in Aaun as they originally were when they had gone by the name Haverlock.

History

Formation

The branch was formed by Léon Henri, Count of Talentine, a young heir who watched his own Father fall to the clutches of Vampirism. Hearing tales of his beloved Father being beheaded for all eyes to see. Fueled by anger and embarrassment León concluded his family's name would be forever tarnished by this factor. He promised to never join forces nor allow himself to be turned over by any sort of darkspawnry and to devote himself to the church more than willing to partake in any tests at his young age.

This was no easy feat, he had to speak with his Uncle who had been his Regent for years now. The conversation ended fairly well, though his Uncle had decided to end his Regency there. Henry had Moved into the Far Oof North with his wife and a few bannermen. León is left alone only with the comfort of his mother's Side of the Family and his Siblings. Running on pure frustration and determination he eventually convinced his new Regent Henri Leufroy, Baron of Virdain, to assist him in rebranding their house. Opening them to new ages and new beliefs continuing some traditions while also making new ones. Giving their house a true second chance. To prove they are more than their ancestor's mistakes, vowing to never make the same mistakes they had.
